In a sense, my beloved, what did Jesus demonstrate by coming into embodiment and letting himself be crucified? What did Jesus mean when he said, “Before Abraham was, I AM?” Certainly, the physical body of Jesus could not be older than Abraham—that makes no logical sense whatsoever. And so, there must be a hidden meaning, which of course, you cannot divine by taking the Bible literally—as it was never meant to be taken literally. So, the reality of it is that many of the statements made by Jesus were not made by a particular individual being embodied at a particular time in time and space. It was made by the Logos, by the Word, by the universal cosmic Christ consciousness speaking through him.

And what was meant to be illustrated here is that the Christ has been crucified in matter by allowing people to project whatever images upon that Logos, so that they could be out-pictured by the Ma-ter light as physical form. You see, then, that even though I have said earlier that everything is made out of the Ma-ter light, there is a deeper understanding that the Ma-ter light springs from the Logos of the Christ consciousness. And so, that is why the Christ consciousness, of course, is everywhere. For everything that is made out of the Christ consciousness has the Christ consciousness embedded within it.

But the Christ consciousness is not necessarily expressed in form. It lies dormant, for it has been crucified by the lower images, the images projected by those who have decided to leave the oneness of the Christ consciousness, go into the illusion of separation and duality, create images from that state of consciousness and project it onto matter—which then is why the Christ is crucified. And [this is why] Jesus came to demonstrate that even though the Christ will allow itself to be crucified, you cannot limit or confine the Christ. For even though the Christ is crucified in matter, the Christ knows that it is MORE, that it is One, that it has the potential to be resurrected and ascend.

How do you personally, my beloved, come up higher? By following the example of Jesus, the embodied man, who was crucified, who fulfilled a mission and who gave up the ghost. What is the message, though, for humankind as a whole? It is that Jesus, as you see out-pictured in the outer stations of the cross, Jesus was condemned to death by the consciousness of death, the consciousness of separation and duality. Jesus accepted that cross and then Jesus was nailed to the cross, gave up the ghost, moved on.

But then comes the significance of Jesus being taken down from the cross. For you see, it is the choices of self-aware beings – humankind – that has nailed the Christ to the cross of matter, and the Christ cannot take itself down, for the Christ is only hanging on the cross in the minds of people in duality.

You see the message here? You may think, my beloved, that human beings had the power to nail Jesus to the cross, and they did have the power to nail the outer person, but they could not nail the Christ consciousness to the cross in the sense that the Christ consciousness is the same yesterday, today and forever—and is therefore not changed in its self-awareness, self-image, by anything that happens or is done to it. So it is only in the minds of the people, and therefore – in reality – when they nail Christ to the cross, they are nailing themselves to the cross, my beloved.

Do you see? Do onto others what you want others to do to you. The deeper meaning being that what you do onto others, you have already done to yourself. And in order to be able to nail Jesus to the cross, humankind must first have nailed themselves to the cross, and thus the Mother and her children are indeed nailed to the cross. But only in the minds of the children, for the Mother always knows who she is.

The key is to become one with that Living Word, so that you do not need to judge yourself or judge the world through the outer mind, through the dualistic filter. In fact, you do not go around judging anybody, but on the other hand you do not go into the other extreme of thinking that everything is just wonderful. You have the true Christ discernment of knowing what is real and what is unreal. And you simply have no judgment, no negativity, no criticism toward what is unreal. You just realize it is unreal and then you allow yourself to be the open door, whereby God might speak through you and allow you to bring forth some aspect of the Living Word that might unlock the understanding for another person.

But I tell you that there are many times when you will see other people and see something unreal, but you will not feel an inner prompting to address it. And there can be many reasons for this, but when you get inner attunement, then you will know when to speak and when not to speak. You will not sit there – and this is a pattern that many of you notice in yourselves – you will not sit there and evaluate with the outer mind, “Oh I should say this, I should tell this person what he is doing wrong.”

When you are in that mode of consciousness, when you are in that mode of judging based on the outer mind, the intellectual mind, then you will know you are not one with the WORD. Because the Living Word is not like that. The Living Word is not the hellfire and brimstone of the Christian preachers who are trying to scare people into submission. The Living Word does not seek to condemn or criticize anyone. The Living Word has only one desire and that is to set everyone free.

Human beings are so quick to judge, they are so quick to create a hierarchy, a false hierarchy, saying that this person is better than that person, and this person is really, really bad. My Beloved, this is what I encountered in ancient Israel, where the Jews were so sure they were God’s chosen people, that they looked down upon everyone else that lived in their society or around them – the publicans, the sinners, the Samaritans, the Romans, the tax collectors, what have you – all of them were considered by the Jews to be subhuman.

And you see many people in today’s world who have set up their own classifications, “Oh these persons are really, really bad, they don’t deserve to live, they should be killed, or they should be imprisoned for the rest of their lives.” But why do these people think this way? It is because they see the world, they see other people, through a filter.

Why you judge yourself

And my beloved, if you look at the world through yellow glasses, what happens when you stand in front of a mirror? Well, you will look at yourself, you will look at your mirror image, and you will look through yellow glasses. So by the same standard that you judge others, you will also judge yourself.

When the Conscious You has entered into the prison created by the ego, it will see everything through the filter created by the ego—and therefore it will see itself through that filter. And that is precisely why, the words, the beliefs that you have in your mind, will justify or condemn you—because you are justifying or condemning yourself. Judge not that ye be not judged. For you are the one judging yourself. You are the one who looks upon yourself and says, subconsciously, “I am separated from God, I am a sinner, I am not worthy to enter the kingdom.” Or perhaps you say, “I know better than God, I know better than the Living Christ, surely I will enter the kingdom.” And surely, you are not open to the possibility that perhaps you will not.

You see, you are the one who keeps yourself outside the kingdom by the way you look at the world, because that is the way you look at yourself. And as Mother Mary has explained so beautifully in her book, the Conscious You is who it thinks it is in the realm of time and space. And if you think you are separated from God, then you ARE separated from God—in your own mind. And thus, you can never enter the kingdom of God, and that is when you become susceptible to the illusion, the master illusion of the ego, which wants to maintain its own existence and therefore does not want you to find the straight and narrow path of self transcendence, of inner transformation.

So as an alternative, it has to create the false path, the outer path that makes it seem like you can enter the kingdom of God by doing all these outer things. And then, at some future time when certain outer conditions are fulfilled, you will automatically enter. But you see, that future time will never come. For when can you enter the kingdom of God? Can you enter yesterday? Can you enter tomorrow? No. You can enter only in the Eternal NOW.

And when you contemplate the words of this Invocation rosary of the Eternal NOW, when you really let them sink into your consciousness, you see how profound they are and how they too, how this invocation in its entirety, is designed to give you precisely these “Aha” experiences of seeing what stands in your way—what keeps you out of alignment with the Eternal NOW, with the Living Word, what keeps you outside that state of consciousness that is the kingdom of heaven.

Contemplate this and then realize that so many of the spiritual people on this earth have a high understanding of the spiritual path, but they have not truly understood the essential key of oneness. They have not truly seen that the spiritual path is all about oneness and that behind the outer path is the path of oneness. This is truly the alchemical key, and it is a key that I could not give in  the past because humankind’s consciousness simply was not at that level.

What is the true key to alchemy? It is to realize and to see only that behind all outer manifestations is the oneness of God, and that all manifestations in the material universe are made from the Mother Light, the Ma-ter light. Thus, how can you transform base metal into Gold? Only when you see that the base metal is made out of the Mother Light and that when you return the base metal to the pure state of the Mother Light, you can then impose the pure vision of gold, the Christ vision, upon that Ma-ter light—and the base metal is transformed into gold.

This goes for any imperfection on earth. Any imperfection is made from the Mother Light, and that Mother Light can outpicture the perfection of God instead of the current imperfection. But you will be able to see this and manifest this only when you see the oneness behind all manifestations. And you will see that oneness only when you are one in yourself, when, as Jesus said, your eye is single. When you see no divisions and give them no permanence and no ultimate reality, but see right through them to the light of God behind them.

Then you will be the ultimate alchemist, who can transform the base metal of the human consciousness into the gold of the Christ consciousness and all the base elements of the human consciousness and the manifestations of that consciousness that you see on earth, you can transform them also into the perfect vision of Christ. And the kingdom of God will then be manifest through your being because you are the open door here below.

And this does not mean, as many people believe, that after you die your soul will ascend to heaven and then you will inherit the kingdom. No, it means that God wants to give you the kingdom right here on earth because he wants to turn planet earth into his kingdom, where there is no darkness, no evil, no lies, no illusion, no suffering, no pain and no lack of nurturance. Do you see, this truth has been hidden for so many thousands of years because the prince of this world and his henchmen have carefully hidden it, and they have destroyed all teachings, or attempted to destroy all teachings, that have brought out this truth and they have killed all prophets that preach this truth.

You see, they want planet earth for themselves. They want to keep God out of this earth, out of this material universe. They want it to be a place where God is not found. And how can they do this? They can do this only by fooling God’s sons and daughters into believing that it is not possible to have God’s kingdom on earth and that God’s kingdom can only exist in heaven. Thus, they can inherit God’s kingdom only after they leave this planet.

They have even used the magnificent example set by Jesus to come in with subtle lies that make it seem like Jesus had to die on the cross and thus it was only after his death that he was resurrected, and likewise only after your death will you inherit the kingdom of God. Oh my beloved, there are even some New Age teachings that reinforce this view, giving rise to a belief that the goal of life is to make your ascension and that you will make your ascension only after the death of your physical body. But you see, this is a misuse of the teachings we have given. For truly, the goal of life is to ascend but ascension means the ascension to a higher state of consciousness. And you can ascend to a higher state of consciousness right here on earth while you are still in a physical body.

You can ascend by recognizing that the kingdom of God is within you. It is already within you. You can inherit the kingdom right here on earth. You do not have to go to some physical heaven portrayed by some religions. You do not have to go anywhere else because there is only one place to inherit the kingdom of heaven and that is right here. And there is only one time to inherit the kingdom of heaven and that is right now.

I therefore encourage you to consciously use your power of vision to see that behind all imperfect appearances is the Ma-ter light. You might envision this light as tiny particles or strings that vibrate at very high speed. This is like the subatomic particles or the superstrings that your scientists are currently using to describe the process whereby the unconscious Ma-ter light takes on visible form.

So when you are confronted with an imperfect appearance, whether in your own life, in your physical body, in your society or on the planet as a whole, I encourage you to make a firm decision that you do not accept it as permanent or real. You make a conscious effort to see it as a temporary projection upon the screen of life, and then you see beyond it to the white screen itself, namely the vibrating particles of the Ma-ter light. You then use your attention to see beyond the outer appearance and to see the perfect vision of Christ instead of the outer appearance.

Do you understand what I am saying here? You are alive because you are constantly receiving a stream of spiritual light that flows from your I AM Presence through your mind and is directed by the power of your attention. Whatever you focus your attention upon, you will magnify through the power of the light within you. So if you focus your attention on an imperfect appearance, especially if you accept it as real and permanent, you will actually reinforce that condition.

I encourage you to consciously take back the power of your attention and vision. When you are confronted with an imperfect appearance, I am not asking you to ignore it or even to deny it. I am asking you to acknowledge that it does exist, but you also acknowledge that it is not ultimately real and it is not permanent. Therefore, you do not accept it as permanent, and instead you look beyond it and see the vibrating Ma-ter light behind the outer appearance. You then fix your attention upon a more perfect vision, the most perfect vision you can imagine, and you affirm that vision as real and permanent.

What is the perfect vision of Christ? Because so many of you have been brought up with imperfect images, I encourage you to ask your Christ self to hold the perfect vision for a particular situation or condition. For many of you it is currently impossible to imagine the perfect vision of Christ in some of the situations you encounter on a daily basis. Yet your Christ self can hold that vision for you, if you will but ask. And if you keep asking with an open mind, your Christ self will gradually lower that perfect vision into your conscious mind.

I am asking you to be wise as a serpent and acknowledge that there are currently many imperfect appearances on planet earth. Yet I am also asking you to be harmless as a dove by consciously acknowledging that they are not real or permanent. You therefore see beyond them and allow the light of God to stream through your attention and superimpose the perfect vision of Christ upon the imperfect condition.

Do you see that this is how Jesus healed the withered hand and performed his other so-called miracles? When people saw the man with the withered hand, they immediately accepted the condition as real and they thought it was permanent. Jesus did not accept this illusion. He saw beyond the outer appearance and focused his attention of the vibrating particles of the Ma-ter light. He then fixed his inner sight on the vision of a perfect hand, and he consciously, and with the full power of his Christ mind, superimposed that vision upon the particles of the Ma-ter light. He took dominion over these Ma-ter particles and commanded them to outpicture his vision. By letting the light of the Father stream through his mind, Jesus changed the vibration of the Ma-ter particles, and they now immediately outpictured the perfect vision held in the mind of the embodied Christ.

If you believe on Jesus, you shall indeed do the works that he did. Yet if you believe on the prince of this world and his lie that imperfect appearances are real or permanent, then the prince will have something in you, that will prevent you from being the open door for the light of God to stream through your mind and spiritualize your life and world.

So I encourage you to see your life as a game in which you are constantly confronted with imperfect appearances and tempted by the prince of this world to accept them as real or permanent. And instead of falling for the temptation, you can attune to your Christ self and ask him to give you the perfect vision of Christ to replace the imperfect appearance. Then hold on to that vision – be faithful over a few things – and see how your life and your world will change.

I know that some will think this is a fruitless exercise, and you may use all manner of science to ridicule my suggestion. Yet I can tell you that the imperfect appearances you see all around you were created by the very same process. It was the energy streaming through the minds of human beings, misqualified by the imperfect images held in their minds, that created the imperfections you see on this planet today.

There is no stopping while you are on planet earth. There is no being comfortable. This then is the most dangerous point, and I must warn those who are truly our best students. Those who have been following the spiritual path for a long time, whether in this Church, in that Church or in no Church.

We have such high hopes for you and for what God can do through you, and we desire to see those hopes be fulfilled. But presently what is stopping you from being who you are is precisely this point. The most dangerous point is that you have climbed the path to a high level, and then you somehow become comfortable at that level. You somehow subscribe to some belief, some idea, that you don’t have to take the next step. You have done enough, you have come up high enough, you have sacrificed enough.

I would remind you of my words, spoken 2,000 years ago, “He who is willing to lose his life for my sake, shall find it.” I tell you truly—I am an easy master. Why do you think God sent me to planet earth? Because I am such an easy master. I am so easy to please. I require so little.

I only require that you give your all to me—all of your human self, all of your ego, all of your false sense of identity concerning who you think you are. That is all I require. And when you realize that if you give your all to me, I will give my all to you, then it suddenly is not such a big requirement.

If you met me on the street, and I said to you, “If you give me one dollar, I will give you ten million dollars in return,” would you lose anything in that bargain? Oh truly, you would lose the one dollar, but which would you rather have, the one dollar of the human self or the ten million dollars of the Christ self and the Christ consciousness and the eternal life of that Christ consciousness? This then truly is the choice.

• The Spirit works, not in an outer, demonstrative way, but in so many subtle ways.

• In this Aquarian age, Christ cannot be expressed, unless there is balance between masculine and feminine.

The delicate balancing act of the ascended masters

• When the masters are dealing with students who are affected by the duality consciousness they are facing a very complex situation.
• They need to give an explanation, that is adapted to people’s current level of consciousness and to the dualistic illusions that they are not yet willing to question.

• You have all been given a completely false image of what happened to Jesus, the Buddha and other spiritual teachers.

• There is a Middle Way for each person. You must come to the point where you say: “I have had enough of going from this extreme to that extreme, now it is time for me to discover balance.”
• You are the ultimate guru in the sense that there must come a point where you are willing to look at yourself and then tune in to your own higher self and to the ascended gurus who will give you directions from within.

May I give you a realistic assessment – that is beyond the duality of pride and feeling better than others – but may I give you a realistic assessment, that the book on the Path to Christhood is the greatest opportunity for actually manifesting Christhood, for quickly rising to Christhood, that has been available on this planet in recorded time. It is presently the fastest and easiest way for anyone to rise above that lower state of consciousness and begin to manifest Christhood. It is, as Jesus is fully aware, not the ultimate teaching that could be given—for more might indeed be given by Jesus, as those of you who are following the course multiply the talents and therefore forge the way for more teachings to be given.

And then, even beyond what can be given on Christhood, there are teachings on Buddhahood that I long to bring out. For I am very well aware, that many people in the western world have become disenfranchised with traditional Christianity. Yet, they have not been willing to go into the opposite polarity of materialism. And thus, they have been prone to search for a universal form of spirituality by looking at eastern teachings, especially the teachings of Buddhism.

Yet, the teachings that I gave so many years ago in the East were adapted not only to the consciousness of the time, but also were in many ways adapted to the eastern mindset. And I do indeed long to bring forth the teaching on Buddhahood for the western mind: western mind, western Buddha, my beloved. And this may come as sufficient numbers of people accept the offering of Christ.

Ascended Master MORE, October 26, 2007 through Kim Michaels.

Therefore, let go of the sense of hopelessness! Let go of the sense that your Christhood depends on other people or institutions in society. For the reality demonstrated by Jesus is that individual Christhood depends on nothing outside the individual. Look at Jesus. At one point or another almost everyone around him questioned the sanity of what he was doing—even his mother, who had a very high vision that he had a special mission to fulfill. So did his brothers, so did his disciples from time to time, almost all of them failing to see the greater vision. Yet Jesus withstood the onslaught of all of them – the people, the Scribes and the Pharisees, the high and the mighty as well as the low who pulled upon him to be their king and throw out the Roman occupiers – he withstood all of them and manifested his Christhood anyway.

Of course, this cannot happen unless you are willing to look at the ego and overcome that ego. Because otherwise it will be inevitable that your ego will pull you into a false “Christhood,” an imitation of Christhood, that makes some people think that they are the saviors, that they are the wise ones who know best how things should be done, and thus they are the saviors of the people. This is what you saw in Peter, where he would argue with Jesus and tell him how he should conduct his mission. This is indeed the consciousness that started with Peter, was institutionalized by the Catholic Church and was directly responsible for the emergence of the period called “the Dark Ages” in Europe.

Yet there are still nuances that must be known by the advanced students. And here is the one that I would discourse on today. It is indeed possible that a person can become awakened to the path of Christhood and gain some grasp on that path, start the path, start the form of service of realizing that there are many things in this world that need to be changed, there are many illusions that need to be challenged. And the person might indeed start challenging these illusions, but then there is always the risk that the person can be trapped in a blind alley by becoming imbalanced.

There are many spiritual and religious people who have been awakened to the need to do something, to bring about better times, a higher form of society, a more spiritual society, or even a golden age. They have gone through an awakening or a conversion experience, have become all on-fire for working for God – however they see it – or working for the ascended masters. And they have thrown themselves at it with great enthusiasm, with great eagerness.

And in one sense, we of the ascended masters love to see people in this phase, for they are certainly far more alive and far more entertaining to watch than the people who still sit there in front of their television sets, thinking the goal of life is to eat popcorn and flip through the channels, until their brains are so pacified that they can hardly think an individual thought, being so overpowered by the mass consciousness that comes through the television set that they are like the dead, the spiritually dead.

Yet, as gratified as we are in seeing people becoming awakened, I must tell you that we very often see these same people going into the blind alley of taking an unbalanced approach to what they see as their work for God, perhaps even what they see as their divine plans. We have seen this in all religions, that a certain percentage of students will become almost over-anxious in creating world change. And they are so “fired up,” as they say, about this that they lose all perspective and all balance.

And what is the cause of this, my beloved? Well, it is that they do not have the Buddhic perspective on what it means to be the Christ in action. As the Living Christ in action, you cannot be completely non-attached to the point of saying that nothing really matters. You cannot buy into the gray thinking that everything will turn out okay in the end because somehow Jesus or a UFO will come and save this planet.

As the Living Christ in action, you expose yourself to people’s ridicule and condemnation. You often go up against their egos, and you do so because you truly care. You care enough that you are willing to let them reject you and persecute you, even as Jesus cared enough to let them nail him to a cross so that they received an opportunity to see their own duality outpictured.

As the Living Christ you do have a caring. And this is why you go out and you are willing to disturb people. Yet maintaining that caring is a very delicate balance. For it is very easy to become over-anxious, to step over the line and become attached to a particular result of your actions, to become attached to getting a particular reaction from other people.

This is a very fine line. It is the line between remaining on the straight and narrow way of Christ or stepping on to the broad way of anti-Christ. For you see, even though you are caring about other people, wanting to awaken them, you must never forget that God has given them free will.  You must simply give them the example, the knowledge, the insight, the wisdom, the Living Word, that gives them a free choice to abandon the duality consciousness. But you must not become attached to a particular result.

The outer expression of such attachments is those who play the game of numbers. How many members does their Church have? How many members in their religion? Look at how many Christians pride themselves on the fact that Christianity is the biggest religion in the world. But then when it comes right down to it, Christianity is so diversified that you can hardly call it a coherent religion.

Yet my larger point here is this: those who play the numbers game, those who are comparing their religion to others – having a need to feel that their religion is better – obviously demonstrate that they are attached. They may still serve out of a – to some degree – pure motive, but there is an attachment that perverts that motive and even opens them up to the serpentine lie that the end can justify the means.
