We understand very well that, when you are in a physical body, you are looking at the world, you are looking at life, from the localized vantage point of your body, your outer mind, your outer self. You are dealing with your daily conditions. You have to live, you have to eat, you have to work, you have children, you have families, you have obligations that need to be fulfilled. My beloved, when I was in my last embodiment, I was not only the Mother of Jesus, I had seven children. After my husband Joseph died, I was alone with those seven children. Although they had started to come of age and could help me support the family, this was by no means an easy task.

I fully understand how difficult it is for many of you to balance your daily lives with your spiritual lives, with your spiritual path. I understand very well that in this modern age you are facing a special challenge that I did not face those almost 2,000 years ago. Back then, I was able to focus on my own immediate situation. There were no news services. There were no newspapers, no radio, no television, no internet. There was no way for me to know what was going on in the world at large, what was going on in remote regions of the world. I did not know, as most people back then did not know, that there were remote regions of the world. I only knew about the relatively small area around where I lived. I understand very well that in today’s age you are facing a very special challenge.

Ascended Master Jesus, June 16, 2013 through Kim Michaels.

There is, indeed, as the song goes “Joy to the world.” Joy to Russia because of this conference! I, Jesus, am joyful! All of us of the ascended masters are joyful. Those Masters who have spoken at this conference are joyful for the fact that you have come together, that you have raised up a chalice, that we could anchor this flame. Certainly, the flame will be a disturbance to the collective consciousness of Russia, to many people in Russia, even to certain power structures in Russia. They will be not only uncomfortable, they will be challenged.

But you who are the spiritual people can look at the positive. You could look at the glass as being not only half-full but more than half-full and that the light of Christ is rising in the glass. It may, in the not too distant future, start overflowing, even the cup that you have raised up. Visualize the Light of Christ overflowing the Cup of Christ and flowing out to all areas of Russia and the world. This is our great joy, for when the cup is raised up, we will release the light and we will allow it to overflow to a certain measure.

My heart overflows with the Joy of Christ; the joy that many Christians cannot feel for they focus so much on that few hours I was hanging on that cross. Sometimes I get almost cross when I see people focusing so much on my suffering and forgetting that I was resurrected. And in the resurrection there is infinite joy. In the ascension there is infinite joy, as Guru Ma expressed, the joy of being a newly ascended master.

I, of course, have been an ascended master for some time but what is the Christ? Is it not that in Christ everything is new? Thus, I, too, can instantly lock in to the newness of the joy of feeling the ascension flame, and I hope that all of you can lock in to the newness of the joy of feeling the release of light from the ascended masters, not only through an outer messenger but through your own hearts.

Feel the joy! Allow yourself to acknowledge the joy and then bring that joy with you when you leave this conference and nourish it. Let not the spoilers come to you for they will surely come to you and try to take it away from you. If they manage with their subtle schemes to make you go into some reaction, don’t condemn yourself; just come back to the joy. Take some time to go into the stillness, invoke the light, center in your heart, center in my heart and ask me to help you reconnect to the newness and the joy of Christ.

This is my message this day. You have the fullness of the joy of the Ascended Master JesusChrist.

If you will go through a reality check, you will realize that you were not wrong for believing in the spiritual side of life. You were, indeed, led astray by your own ego and by the false teachers. It was your decision because you did not approach spirituality in a balanced manner.

This does not mean that you have to now criticize yourself or feel guilty. You do need to realize that your approach was not the highest possible and therefore you need to step up to a higher approach where you seek balance first of all. You seek balance over peak experiences or outer results. You stop measuring and you find a viable spiritual path and you apply it, even if it seems like you are making no progress for years. If you are applying a viable path, you ARE making progress at inner levels even though it sometimes may not seem so to the outer mind.

You have all been given a completely false image of what happened to Jesus and myself and other spiritual teachers. You think we were so special that we did not have to walk the same kind of path that you are walking. This is an illusion. We all had to walk a gradual path. We all had to deal with our own stuff – our own unresolved psychology – the illusions we had accepted over many lifetimes. We all had to deal with every, dirty detail of it. We all took a long time to complete the journey, and there were times when for years it seemed like we were getting nowhere.

Just look at even the rather illusory, glorified view of the world and see that I spent years sitting in the forest meditating. I can assure you that there were times when it seemed like nothing was happening except my hair and nails were growing longer and longer.

Finding your personal Middle Way

We all have gone through this, and we made it because we kept going. We kept putting one foot in front of the other. Yet, we did not simply blindly follow some kind of scheme where we decided: “Ah, now I have the right path and now I have to just blindly apply it for the rest of my life and now I will be saved.”

Did I not sit there for years, thinking I had to follow a certain path, and then at one point I was willing to step back and say: “Nay, this path of the ascetic, this extreme path, cannot be it. There must be a higher way.” And that is when I discovered the Middle Way.

You see, there is not just one Middle Way. There is a general Middle Way, but there is a Middle Way for each person. You must also come to the point where you say: “I have had enough of going from this extreme to that extreme, now it is time for me to discover the balance by stepping back and looking at what I have not looked at so far, namely myself, my own psychology. Instead of thinking that I have to apply this or that outer system, outer technique, outer teaching, outer guru.”

You are the ultimate guru in the sense that there must come a point where you are willing to look at yourself and then tune in to your own higher self and to the ascended gurus who will give you directions from within. Earthly teachers, earthly teachings, can only take you so far. There will come a point when you must use the teaching to gain your own inner attunement with your higher self. If you will go to and look at the AskRealJesus website and the AscendedMasterLight website and the AscendedMasterAnswers website, you will see that we have been saying this since 2002.

Indeed, this is one of the messages you can apply to discern between a false and a true teaching. Will it tell you to go within and seek your own inner attunement, or will they tell you to follow an outer guru and keep following that guru without ever applying your ability to look at yourself from outside your current sense of self?

It must, of necessity, end up in disappointment. What then happens is that those who have expected some drama – be it a worldwide disaster or some raising to another dimension – will inevitably become open to what has been described as the sharpest tool in the devil’s toolkit, namely discouragement. You begin to doubt, just as you have seen so many Christians who believed that the world would end or that Jesus would return on a certain date. Now the date has passed and the expected event did not come to pass and so they feel doubts.

Soon after comes discouragement and disappointment. You wonder if it was all worth it? Was it all just an illusion? Is all this spiritual talk just that, nothing but an illusion?

You see, behind all of these outer fascinations with phenomena there is a real spiritual path. We of the ascended masters have walked it ourselves. We have proven the path over and over again. What one has done, all can do. You cannot do it through the ego – through the expectations and mirages of the ego – you can do it only through the mind of Christ and the mind of Buddha.

How will you attain Christ discernment if an external guru has to tell you, in every instance, what is Christ what is not Christ? It is perfectly valid and legitimate to have a guru for a time who does give you a certain frame of reference and certain examples of what is Christ and what is anti-christ. You will not build Christ discernment by continuing to follow the guru, by remaining loyal to the guru, by being a blind follower even of a seeing guru.

You will build discernment only by daring to use your own inner faculties. Even though you may be wrong many times, you will learn from each instance where you do dare to evaluate. From there you will gradually grow in discernment. That is, if you fulfill one simple requirement, namely that you are willing to look at yourself, to look at what Jesus so aptly called the beam in your own eye—rather than focusing all of your attention on seeing the splinters in the eyes of your brothers.

Look at the many people I am talking about who have this patchwork in their minds of these disconnected beliefs that they have stitched together. You will see that in many cases they have come to accept these many different beliefs because they have not been willing to look at themselves and their own psychology.

And so, my beloved, can you now perhaps begin to appreciate the situation that we of the Ascendant Host face? When we are dealing with students who are not affected by the duality consciousness, then explaining the true path of initiation and helping a student walk that path is a very straightforward matter. Yet when we are dealing with students who are affected by the duality consciousness – because they still have something they want to hide – then we are facing an infinitely more complex situation.

We simply cannot give you an explanation of the true path in its practical, realistic form. We need to give you a path, an explanation, that is adapted to your current level of consciousness and to the dualistic illusions that you are not yet willing to question. If we give you a clear description of the true path, you would either completely fail to comprehend it or you would likely reject it, or at least aspects of it.

In many spiritual movements, you find students who are still seeking to hide the fact that they do not have true self-esteem, and therefore they are seeking to hide, or to avoid questioning, the very conditions that allow them to feel that they have this false self-esteem by the belonging to an organization or by having followed a certain path of initiation offered in that organization. Look at the leaders or those who have been in such organizations for many years, and see how they feel that this entitles them to some status and some admiration and respect from the new members, or from those who do not have an outer position.

You will see it everywhere, as you see it in most religions or political or scientific organizations: this quest for an external status, this quest to be thought wise among men. So do you then see that we of the ascended masters face a somewhat delicate challenge? How do we, given all we know about the true path, take students who have so many subtle beliefs that come from the false path, and still get them to start transcending their false beliefs, so that they will come closer and closer to recognizing the true path?

What has happened in many spiritual organizations is that we were able to take the students to a certain level, and then a majority of the students were not willing to go further. They came to a point, where there were certain convenient beliefs from the false path that they were not willing to give up. For they were not willing to take full and final responsibility for their own state of mind. They were not willing to recognize that their perception was fundamentally colored by the beliefs they were not willing to look at, and that they would only go further on the path if they were willing to question their most fundamental perception of that path.

And so, they started taking certain statements out of context, and using them to justify why they did not have to question their beliefs about the false path. And my beloved, the danger of giving you any teaching expressed in words is precisely that words can be used and interpreted in ways that justify just about anything you want to justify. So it is entirely possible to take the words spoken by an ascended master – through a sponsored messenger who gave forth those words in the purest possible way – and still use those words to justify certain beliefs about the path that were given by the fallen beings, by the false teachers.

This is not only possible; it is very easy—when there are certain things in yourself that you are not willing to look at. For the very things that you are not willing to look at, will prevent you from seeing the deeper reality behind the outer words. And therefore, you will very conveniently be unable to see – or be able to justify ignoring – the words that do not confirm what the fallen beings are telling you. You will instead focus on the words that do seem to confirm what you want to believe. And therefore, you feel completely justified in following the false path—while thinking you are in reality following the true path defined by the ascended masters, a path that will guarantee your ascension.

My Beloved, it is only the ego that envisions some ultimate gift of the Spirit, some ultimate event that will awaken everyone. Look at the fundamentalist Christians, who expect my second coming any moment. I will appear in the sky as some unmistakable manifestation, that no one can deny. And therefore, they can jump up and say: “We were the ones who expected this all along, look at us, look at how wise we were, that we knew Christ was coming in this way.” It will not happen, my beloved. This is the evil and adulterous generation that lusteth after an outer sign. I will appear like the lightning from the East to the West, in ways that you will not see, because it will be gone before your eyes can even register it. I will appear through many people, through a word here, a gesture there, a cup of cold water in Christ’s name, that sets somebody on a different track, other than the downward track they had been on for perhaps many lifetimes.

This is how the Spirit works, not in an outer, demonstrative way, but in so many subtle ways. Allow this flow to happen, allow it to happen by letting go of your rituals. Look at this Catholic Church and how everything is set in stone, in some ritual, in some equipment that the Pope needs in order to perform his duties, in some dogma and doctrine. Look how it has squeezed out the Spirit, but then be willing to be honest and look in the mirror. Stand in front of the mirror, at least metaphorically speaking, and look at yourself. What structures do you have, what enormous structures have you built in your own minds? For I tell you, there are some of you who have built structures in your minds – in your mental body, even in your etheric body – that are far more grandiose than this basilica of Saint Peter’s.

You have built these structures thinking, that one day somebody on earth will recognize your superior wisdom, your superior intellect, your superior ego—even though you will not admit that this is what it is. Look at those structures, and then allow them to crumble before the winds of the spirit. Then you will be free. You will feel such a freedom, such a joy, such an innocence. This is indeed the joy that I desire to see, this is the joy, that I displayed in certain moments 2,000 years ago, that are not recorded in the Scriptures. This is the joy, that I displayed when I was with my companion, Mary Magdalene.

Many of you will also find your companions, when you let go of these elaborate structures, that keep you out of the kingdom. You will find that male or female companion, that is meant to complete you. For in the Aquarian age, it will not be the lone ascetic, celibate priest that brings people to God. It will be those who live a lifestyle, that you have called normal, but they are not living it in a normal way, because they have transcended the traditional roles of male and female. And therefore, they demonstrate the balance of the union of masculine and feminine, Alpha and Omega, that I and Mary Magdalene demonstrated in private back then. For we knew, that it could not be recognized by the male-dominated culture.

And unfortunately, my intent of having Mary Magdalene take an integral part of the Christian movement did not come to pass. For she was rejected by the male disciples, precisely because too many of them, as I said, were trapped in the fallen consciousness, wanting to blame women for the fall and suppress the female element in what they saw as their religion, their Church, their movement.

In this Aquarian age, Christ cannot be expressed, unless there is balance between masculine and feminine. Some can achieve this balance alone, many cannot. And therefore, there is indeed the need for a new understanding, a new awareness of the male-female relationship, that it may not be the downward spiral, that it has become for so many, the worship of outer forms. But that it may be seen as a road to transcendence, a road to higher spirituality. And this, of course, is something we will speak much more about in the coming time, even in the coming years, as there is much teaching to bring out.

Thus, I have fulfilled my purpose for giving a teaching here, for giving this messenger an opportunity to demonstrate to himself, that even though he thinks it is not possible to take a dictation in an overcrowded basilica, it is indeed possible. For with God all things are possible, and none of the hundreds of people that have walked by within hearing distance have taken any notice. For they were sealed from noticing, for they were so focused on the outer things, that they could not see what was right before them. For only those who have some connection from within, will be able to see it outside themselves. Thus, I, the living Jesus Christ, will – for the first time with the infusion of the Spirit of Christ in this place – I will say, “May the peace of Christ be with you!” I will even go beyond and say, “I am the peace of Christ with you!”

The question then becomes: How do you want to live the rest of this embodiment? How do you want to live future embodiments—or do you want to ascend? And the question you must ask yourself is this: Will I continue to play the games, the myriad, innumerable games that can be played with words? Will I continue to seek to get the last word among men, or will I reach for the ultimate Word of God, that I may be one with the Christ Consciousness. And therefore, I not only speak words—I become the Word. I become the Word in embodiment, whereby I may be the open door for the Word of God to be spoken on earth, the Word that is not the dualistic struggle of point counterpoint, proof and disproof. The Word that truly cleaves the real from the unreal—not by the words spoken, but by the vibration carried by those words, and by the person speaking them, the vibration flowing through that person who is the open door, so that people who are willing can sense the vibration, go beyond the words—and therefore contact the Word, the living Word, that is a Living Spirit that flows – always – always transcends, always accelerates into greater and greater expression of the God qualities.

This is indeed the question; to be an open door for the Word or not to be. Consider how many people have lived for decades in this lifetime, and for dozens of lifetimes before this lifetime, engaging in the game of seeking to get the last word by proving yourself right, by proving another human being wrong, by proving how clever you are with words or jokes or sarcastic or ironic statements—that supposedly puts someone else in their place. And what place might that be, where you put someone else, when you put them down with a vibration that is less than love, that is less than purity? Well, it is the same place you put yourself, when you enter into that vibration of talking down to another, of seeking to put them down, rather than seeking to raise up the All by being an instrument for the Word, that with its purity can only raise up life.

Look at the life of Jesus and how he interacted with the scribes and Pharisees. You can go in with the outer, analytical, linear mind and look at the words that have been handed down to you in the Scriptures. And you can analyze and evaluate and even judge Jesus’ words. Should he have said that? Should he have said it that way? Was it wise of him to say this? Did he really have a point, or did the scribes and the Pharisees have a point?

Surely, you can do this, for you are reading the words of Jesus. You are not hearing them spoken as he spoke them back then, when he was indeed the open door, and when there was far more streaming out of his mouth than the words that could be written down. There was the Word streaming forth, the Word that with its vibration gave people an alternative to the vibration of the scribes and the Pharisees. So that people who had never encountered a higher vibration than the dualistic polarities were suddenly, if they were willing, quickened by Jesus, quickened not by his words, but by the Word itself. And they saw in him something more, something that the scribes and Pharisees did not have – something that they could not have – given their dualistic states of consciousness and their attachment to having the last word, to proving Jesus wrong, to proving their own tradition right. And thus, as Jesus said, “Ye have made the word of God of no effect by your tradition.”

And what trips you up in many cases is exactly your willingness to look for the beam in your own eye. Your willingness to recognize that there is something that must be given up. And therefore, you are so focused on seeing the problem, of overcoming the problem, and thinking in terms of problems, that you cannot let go of the memory of who you were in the past and how you were an imperfect being and how much you had to give up. And therefore, you cannot always accept that now that you have given it up, you are no longer that being who had that problem before.

Do you see, my beloved? When you are reborn, you become a new person, a new being in Christ. But you have free will. You cannot accept that you are a new being – you cannot accept it in your conscious mind – unless you are willing to truly acknowledge that you are not the person who made the mistake or had the belief that you discovered yesterday and gave up.

My Beloved, if you look at my life as Jesus, I passed several initiations where I had to accept a higher identity. You can see this between the lines of the official scriptures, although some of them have indeed been taken out, some were never even there, because the gospel writers did not have the full understanding of my being and the path of Christhood and the initiations I went through. Nevertheless, the reality is that I had several initiations where I had to accept a higher sense of identity in order to take my mission to the next level.

And had I not been willing to do this, then my mission would have stalled at a certain level. And I would not have gone all the way to the ultimate end of hanging on the cross and giving up the ghost of the final limitations—thereby being resurrected. So you see, my beloved, this is the initiation that all of us have faced as we walked the path and attained our ascensions.

Do you see that when one starts at the bottom of the figure-eight, one clearly sees that there is a gap between where I am, and where the kingdom of God is, so you have to create a thrust, my beloved, in order to rise above the gravitational pull of the mass consciousness, as Serapis illustrated with his analogy of the rocket. There has to be momentum, you have to create a force, and you have to do it partly with the state of consciousness you are in at the time. Which means that your separate self, your ego, will be involved.

And therefore, the ego will color your efforts to some degree by its desire for self-elevation and for feeling important. And that is why you respond to spiritual teachings that tell you that you have an important mission to save the world for Saint Germain and bring the Golden Age, and do all of these outer things. And so you think that you actively have to be part of this, you have to create some kind of force or thrust that makes it manifest. And this is correct, through the initiations of the first four rays. But you will not get beyond that point until you realize that what has carried you to this point, my beloved, will not carry you further, it will weigh you down.

Look at a rocket again that has several stages. First it has a very large booster that is meant only to accelerate it to a certain point, and then the fuel in that booster is burned out. And it must now be separated from the rocket and it falls away and the rocket starts another engine that takes it beyond to orbit. Do you see, my beloved, that if you insist on holding on to the mindset that boosted you through the first four rays, you cannot progress, you are stuck in a no-man’s land? [You are] feeling that you want to change, that you have to change, you see a glimpse of what has to change, but you cannot internalize it, you cannot bring it into your consciousness.

And thus, the illustration that I want to give you here is that when you come to the nexus point of the figure-eight, you have the potential to attain a new perspective, the perspective of the Christ mind, the mind of oneness rather than the mind of separation. And when you attain that perspective of the Christ mind, you see clearly that the path forward does not go into the upper figure of the figure-eight. No, it goes out from the nexus point and down on the right side of the figure-eight, where you now begin to descend again.

And why does it seem like – in order to rise higher on the spiritual path – you have to start descending? Well, it is because what you have done so far is to take a part of your consciousness and thrust it beyond the mass consciousness, but there is still a part of you left, and that is why you feel a gap, that is why you are not quite there, you are not quite together, you are not quite whole.

And so, you must use the higher thrust and insight and perspective you have gained with a part of your mind, to go down again and rescue, so to speak, all other parts of your being, all other fragments of your soul, if you want to call them that. But even beyond that, you must come to recognize that you are one cell in the Body of God and that your job is not just to resurrect that one cell that you are, but to resurrect the entire body.

And so, in order to rise higher personally, you must begin to share and give out what you have gained, by then seeking to go out into the market place and reach other people, as Jesus demonstrated, by going into the market place of life, giving people what they needed, whether it was a higher spiritual teaching, whether it was healing, whether it was a cup of cold water in Christ’s name, a listening ear. You all have qualities that you are aware of, or can quickly become aware of, that can help other people. Some of you have expressed it, all of you have it. All of you have already used those qualities, but you need to come to the point where you are willing to use them more consciously. Not for your own personal growth, but for the selfless service of raising other parts of life. For it is in that service that you are healed.

topic: Understanding how you give service to life by demonstrating that there is an alternative to the state of consciousness in which most people are trapped. You help others by not validating their egos. The consciousness you will encounter in other people is exactly the consciousness that you have not yet raised in yourself.
