The inescapable decision to let the ego die

It is an eternal truth that when the student is ready, the teacher appears. This is a truth that all spiritual seekers need to contemplate. And then they need to realize that there are levels of understanding of this truth. At the beginning stages you might think that the teacher is outside of yourself – and that it is a matter of meeting outer requirements before the teacher can appear – and that the teacher will do the work for you and take you to heaven, as many Christians indeed believe that I will appear in the sky and take all of the good Christians to heaven while sending all others to hell.

My Beloved, this is indeed a primitive concept of what the spiritual teacher is and what he will do for you. But it is the highest that people can grasp at a certain level of consciousness, where they are still too identified with their egos and therefore are not capable of taking ultimate responsibility for their own lives, their own path—indeed their own salvation.

Thus, they have allowed their egos to create the idol of Jesus Christ as the only son of God who is the savior who will come and wash away their sins with his blood and raise them to heaven or bring God’s kingdom to earth. This is the sense of spiritual paralysis, where you think that you cannot do anything on your own. And thus, you need an external savior to bring you into the kingdom of the external God.

Thinking your ego is the savior

Now my beloved, while this is a primitive concept, it is indeed not the most primitive concept about salvation found on this planet. For it is indeed better to believe in an external savior than to believe that your ego is the savior. For at least – when you believe in the external savior – you recognize that there is an authority that is higher than your own ego. But when you are trapped in the illusion that your ego is your savior, that your ego knows everything and that the path outlined by your ego – whatever form that path takes – will take you to heaven, then you are so trapped that it is virtually impossible for a spiritual teacher to reach you.

And thus, as has it been explained to you – and I might say, as I have explained to you through my messenger in this lecture, is that you cannot pull yourself up by the bootstraps of the ego. My Beloved, it cannot be done!

There are any number of religious, spiritual and New Age teachings and gurus, who will tell you that it can be done and that they can help you do it, or that they can do it for you, whereby you can be saved without letting go of the ego. I must tell you, they are lying to you!

They know – in most cases – that they are lying. But they lie anyway because they truly realize the old saying that there is a sucker born every minute. There are people who are so trapped by the ego that they are not willing to look at the beam in their own eye. And thus, these false gurus create a system, a philosophy, that says you can be saved, you can enter the kingdom of God, without pulling the beam from your own eye, without even seeing that beam. Thus, you can live your own life feeling that you are now saved, that you are now better than others because you belong to this spiritual philosophy or organization or you are following this ultimate guru.

And thus, you can look at the beam in the eyes of all other people, looking down upon them with spiritual pride and feeling that you do not have to recognize that you have the same beam – because you too have an ego – and that you need to pull it if you want to be saved. Instead, you can continue to believe that you can walk your path toward salvation without confronting your ego, without taking responsibility for your path, without making the absolute, the completely firm, one-pointed choice that you are willing to abandon the ego and walk into the greater light of your Christ Self and your I AM Presence.

The false path of keeping the ego alive

My Beloved, there is indeed a very large segment of spiritual seekers today who are on the right track in the sense that they have opened their minds and hearts to something beyond traditional doctrines. Yet they have fallen into the trap that you can grow spiritually, that you can reach a higher state of consciousness, that you can make your ascension, without letting go of the ego, without making an absolute, firm, one-pointed choice that overcomes the division in your being and says, “I am willing to let my ego die! I am willing to overcome it. I am willing to leave it behind. I am willing to choose the life of the Christ consciousness over the death of the duality consciousness.”

This is a firm choice. This is not a choice that you can waiver about. I am not saying that everyone on this planet is ready at this moment to make that choice. Which is why, when I walked the earth 2,000 years ago, I did not call everyone to be my personal disciples. But I must tell you that those I did call to be my personal disciples, they had one chance and they had one second to make their choice.

I literally walked up to them, during whatever they were doing, and I said, “Leave your nets. I will make you fishers of men.” And I turned around and walked away. And if they did not leave their nets and walk with me and made that absolute choice to commit themselves to being disciples of Christ, then I had to leave them behind. There was no two ways about it. There was no thinking about it for two weeks and then coming back later. It simply is not the way the spiritual path works.

You can take a long time to think about it. But there will come a point, where you are ready to make a firm commitment to step up to a higher level of the path. And if you are not willing to make that firm choice and never look back, then you cannot rise.

Your ego might manage to trick you into thinking that you can rise or that you have risen, because after all you now follow this outer guru, you belong to this organization, you do all these outer things, you understand all these teachings with the intellect. And therefore you must be an advanced student, you must be better off than you were a year or ten years ago, you must be better off than all these other people you compare yourself to. But I tell you, it is all an illusion created by the ego.

Because as long as you compare yourself to anyone in this world, you are not truly on the path to Christhood, which is the path to discovering your unique individuality that is anchored in your I AM Presence, and it is different from the individuality of any other person on this planet.

Overcome value judgments and find true self-esteem

Thus, one of the sure signs that you are still trapped by the ego is when you have these value judgments and comparisons, comparing one teaching to another, comparing yourself to others and thinking that there is only one truth or there is one higher truth. This is nothing but the comparisons of the ego, the spirit of vain competition. Because there is no competition on the path to Christhood. You are a uniquely beautiful, wonderful individual, created by God. Your job on earth is to unite with the higher Being that you are, the true individuality in your I AM Presence, and then express that uniqueness. And when you realize that you are unique and that God loves you with the same unconditional love he has for everything, the spirit of vain competition melts away and is as nothing.

Thus, you realize that you can find an entirely new approach to self-esteem. For I understand that many of the people who follow various gurus follow them because they have been put down for many lifetimes. Many of the most spiritual people, the most kind and loving people on earth, do indeed have low self-esteem because they have been put down by the forces of this world, by the prince of this world, who have told them that they are wrong for being spiritual, that they are no good, that they shouldn’t act this way, that they should live like everyone else.

Many spiritual people have low self-esteem and they fall for the trap of the ego to compensate for that low self-esteem by seeking to follow an outer path that gives them the impression, that because they have now learned all these things and understand them intellectually – they have taken all these classes, they have done all these prayers or decrees or invoked all of this light and done all this meditation – now they must suddenly be somebody from an outer perspective and thus they should have self-esteem. But you see, you will never have true self esteem until you allow it to come to you directly from your I AM Presence, which is God in your Being and therefore is the internal God and the internal savior and the only source of true self-esteem. Because it is the only way to connect to the unique individuality that is your cause for self-esteem.

Ponder the teachings that you have received today, for they indeed contain the key that very few other spiritual teachings on this earth contain at this point. Some of them have elements, but very, very few, can give you the teachings in one complete package about the ego and the false path. And if you will contemplate these teachings and be willing to look beyond the subtle pride of the ego – the temptation to set yourself up – and you will reach for the true self-esteem that is the nurturance of the Mother through the divine matrix, the divine blueprint of the Father, then you will be able to overcome all of these needs to follow this false path of the ego and to seek to compensate by outer knowledge or outer accomplishments for the lack of wholeness that you feel deep within your being. You will be able to accept your true identity as a son or daughter of God who is complete and whole in your divine individuality and thus has no need to feel un-whole, has no need to feel that you are in competition with others. And thus has no need to compare yourself to others.

As I said to more than one of my disciples when they were squabbling about these outer things – even debating who was going to be the leader among them after I left – I said, “What is that to thee, follow thou me.” Follow the inner Christ and let all of these outer concerns fade away from you. Let the sun of your I AM Presence shine in your being and let the sun melt these ego desires, ego concerns, the entire false path and its dualistic beliefs, whereby you compare because you think you are not good enough the way you are, the way God created you. And the reason you think this is because you have not connected to who you are, to the beautiful being that God created.

Therefore, use the tools that we have given to reconnect. As I said, seek first the kingdom of God – which is the direct inner contact to your I AM Presence – and then everything else you desire – including self-esteem and inner and outer wholeness, including communication with your higher Being and the ascended masters, including the abundant life – all these things will be added onto you when you reach for your I AM Presence instead of reaching for the false path and the false gurus set up by the ego.

But realize that you will – at some point on your personal path – have to make a choice. Do you want to continue in the consciousness of the ego, the consciousness of death, or will you abandon that consciousness and let the dead, meaning the ego, bury their dead – all the attachments and all the unfulfilled things and all the competition in this world – and you walk with me, the Living Christ, into the Light of the sun of your Being. Therefore, the challenge is always, “Choose life or continue to choose death?”

You must choose one or the other, for if you have not chosen life, you have subconsciously chosen death. And you are not spiritually alive, you have no life in you until you allow the Christ consciousness to enter your container of self, your lower being. There is no two ways about it. You cannot cheat. God is not mocked. You cannot cheat God’s law even though the ego will continue forever to believe that it can and come up with shortcuts and various schemes, and it tries to make you think that you can avoid confronting and overcoming the ego.

Let go of this impossible dream, I say, and you will experience a spiritual growth beyond what you have even imagined up until this point on your path. And I say this to anyone who might hear or read this statement, because I tell you that there is not one human being on this earth who cannot come to a higher level of his or her spiritual path. It does not matter how long you have been on the path – how many times you have meditated, how many decrees or prayers you have given – it does not matter. You can always come up higher!

And indeed, up until the moment you ascend, you can go into a blind alley of becoming comfortable, where you are falling prey to the ego’s subtle temptation that you do not need to go higher. This, my beloved, is the illusion of the ego. And I tell you, there are many of you who have long ago come to the point, where the only thing you need to do in order to come up to a higher level is to make that decision to let the ego die, to choose life. And then make the firm commitment that you are willing to rise above the ego, to see through any of its limitations and then accept who you really are in Christ.

I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by me. The “me” is not the outer person of Jesus Christ, the “me” is the Christ consciousness. You will not enter the kingdom of God through the ego. You will enter the kingdom of God through the Christ. Therefore, choose the life of the Christ over the death of the ego and let the ego die!

Stop tiptoeing around the ego!

Ascended Master Jesus, July 5, 2005 through Kim Michaels.

So many spiritual students have tiptoed around the topic of the ego, even though we have spoken about it in several spiritual organizations. They have been afraid that if their ego was to be exposed, they would go through some kind of crisis, they would lose their sense of self-worth or in other ways experience an identity crisis.

Therefore, you need to simply switch your sense of identity just a little bit. You need to start asking yourself, “Knowing what I know about the spiritual path – and the goal of freedom in the Christ consciousness, the goal of experiencing that greater freedom of being above and beyond the ego – knowing what I know, is there really any part of my ego that I would not be willing to give up, if I could see it?” And I think when you meditate on this, you will see in your hearts that there is indeed nothing that you would not be willing to give up in order to come closer to the love of God, in order to be who you are and express who you are. When you come to that realization, you no longer need to fear the ego or fear having the ego exposed.

You no longer need to fear making a mistake, for whether you make a mistake or not, either way it can expose part of your ego and help you overcome it. The ego has no power over you whatsoever. It only has the power that you have not seen it, or seen it for the illusion that it is, and therefore you cannot separate yourself from it. And the moment you see it, and the moment you choose to separate yourself from it, it has no power over you and you can walk right through it. And when you begin to realize that, you see that the path of overcoming the ego is not a hard path. It is not a path of fear, it is not a path of embarrassment, it is not a path of feeling like you are a failure or you were not good enough because you had this or that aspect of the ego left.

You are far more than the ego. And I will remind you over and over again that you are more. You are so much more, and that is what we love. And when you realize how much more you are, it is no problem to let go of the ego.

Yet the essence of the ego is precisely that—that you either cannot see it or that you are not willing to let go of it. The ego is always trying to remain hidden. The ego is always trying to tell you that you cannot take that next step on the path, you cannot walk out the prison door. And then, when you realize that you can move forward on the path, the ego is trying to make you think that you don’t want to or that you are not allowed to.

The ego prevents you from taking the next step

The essence of the ego really is that the ego is what prevents you from taking the next step closer to God. Truly, the ego has many qualities, but the essence of the ego is, that it is that which prevents you from taking the next step on your path. And when you begin to realize that – and realize that the greater part of your being has an uncompromising commitment to taking that next step – then why would you fear the ego? Why would you fear to have it exposed? You would welcome having it exposed, because now you can say, “Ah, I see it. And now I can let it go.”

As I said to you at Easter, the key to overcoming and walking the path is that you must give away all that is unreal. You must surrender it, you must let it go. But you cannot let it go, you cannot give it away, until you own it, until you take ownership of it. So, we can say that the ego will first of all try to prevent you from taking ownership of that part of the ego, prevent you from seeing it or prevent you from admitting, “Yes, that part of the human ego is still residing in my container of self.” And then, if you do see it, it will try to prevent you from letting it go by making you think that you somehow need it.

And this is the key—to come to that realization that you are willing to let it all go because you love something more than staying in your comfort zone. And I will be here to help all of those who are willing to let go of the ego. I will give further teachings and tools on this, as the time is appropriate and as cycles unfold. But for now, I would say, “Saint Germain has declared clearly that he is no longer fooling around with anyone’s ego. If you want to be a student of Saint Germain and help him manifest the Aquarian Age, then get rid of your ego before you approach him.” Well, I am the one that will help you get rid of that ego, so that you can fulfill your divine plan to co-create the Golden Age with Saint Germain.

Stop rejecting my gift to you

A message from the ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels: (December 24, 2004)

I AM indeed the living Jesus Christ, and I deliver this message through the Living Word that I AM. I know many will doubt that it is truly I, the real Jesus, who is speaking. I know many will look for any little thing they can use to reject my message. I know some have already decided that I could not possibly be speaking to people in this age or that I could not have anything to say beyond what was said in the Scriptures—the Scriptures that are almost 2,000 years old and do not address many of the problems people face today.

Yet if you believe the Scriptures were divinely inspired, then you should realize that those Scriptures were spoken by me through human messengers. So what is to stop me from speaking through a human messenger in this age? Given that I have all power in Heaven and on Earth, there is nothing to stop me. The only question is, “Are you willing to listen—do you have ears to hear?”

You might begin by considering why I speak through a human messenger. I tell you, it is because so many of those who call themselves Christians are not willing to listen to my Living Word that I speak directly in their hearts. Do you think I am happy with the fact that I am unable to reach millions of those who would be my followers, but who have shut up their ears to my Living Word? I can assure you that I am not happy about this state of affairs, and that is why I have decided to use a human messenger in an attempt to reach those who cannot hear me in their hearts but can at least read my words. That is, if they are willing to read my words and have not hardened their hearts against me.

I am come to call those of you who claim to be my followers to stop rejecting the most precious gift I have given to humankind. That gift is the Living Word that I am, a word you can hear directly in your hearts. Why then have so many of those who call themselves Christians become so attached to outer doctrines – many of which are like whited sepulchres filled with dead men’s bones – that they are unwilling or unable to hear my Living Word?

Why do you ignore my Living Word?

Consider some of the reasons people have for ignoring my living word, and if what I say applies to you, then be honest with yourself. Dare to look for the beam in your own eye, for until you see it, how could you possibly remove it. And if you do not remove it, how can you enter our Father’s kingdom? So here are the most common reason for rejecting the Living Word:

Do you ignore my Living Word because you have allowed some hellfire and brimstone preacher to make you afraid to consider anything beyond the outer doctrines and a literal interpretation of those doctrines? If so, why do you fail to see that I was not a hellfire and brimstone preacher but that I preached a gospel based on love instead of fear? Why do you think I said:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. (Mark 12:30)

I knew full well that fear will not take you to Heaven. And how can you love God if you fear God or think he will punish you for every little mistake? That is why I came to give people the perfect love that casts out all fear (1John 4:18).

Do you ignore my Living Word because you have allowed those same hellfire and brimstone preachers to scare you into believing that everything you are allowed to know about me is stated in the Bible and that I could not possibly say something today that is not in the Bible? If so, consider a statement often willfully ignored by those preachers:

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. (John 16:12)

It should be obvious to anyone that I came to raise people’s awareness of the spiritual side of life. And it should be equally obvious that over the past 2,000 years humankind’s awareness of every aspect of life has indeed been raised. Therefore, I can tell you many things today that people simply could not understand, could not bear, 2,000 years ago. What do you think I meant when I said:

Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:20)

I meant that my Spirit will always be with you and that I will continue to give my Living Word, my progressive revelation, to those who have ears to hear it. And in this age many have ears to hear, although some have not yet realized that they are ready for a higher understanding of the mysteries of Christ. Yet it is never too late for you to awaken to my Living Truth!

Do you ignore my Living Word because you have allowed some intellectual theologians to convince you that their man-made interpretations of the letter of the law is all you need in order to be saved? If so, why do you fail to see that I constantly challenged the intellectual theologians of my time, the scribes and Pharisees? Why do you think I said:

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:20)

I knew full well that you cannot intellectualize your way into Heaven. You can enter the kingdom of Heaven only by absorbing my body and my blood, my Living Word, and allowing it to raise the whole loaf of your consciousness (Matthew 13:33). I came to give people the gift of the Spirit of Truth that can never be found in outer doctrines. That is why I said:

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)

Do you ignore my Living Word because you have become too comfortable with certain interpretations and rituals or a certain church? Are you thinking you know everything you need to know about me and that your salvation is guaranteed—and therefore you do not want me to disturb you with a higher understanding? Have you become unwilling to leave your nets of worldly pursuits, so that you are not willing to have a direct encounter with me out of fear that I might compel you to change? Or have you allowed some modern-day lawyer to tell you that you do not need to seek my Living Truth because you can be saved simply by declaring Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do you think I can save all those who call on my name but ignore my commandments? Why do you think I said:

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24)

Contrary to the beliefs held by many, “mammon” is not simply money, but rather “the things of this world,” even the beliefs of this world. So many call themselves Christians, yet they think it is enough to pay me lip service on Sunday, and then they can do whatever they want the rest of the week. Why do you think I so often called the scribes and the Pharisees hypocrites? Why do you think I said it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter Heaven (Matthew 19:24)?

The “rich man” is a symbol for any person who is not willing to let go of the things of this world in order to follow Christ. And this includes man-made interpretations that make people think they can be saved by simply calling on my name without being willing to change themselves. You simply cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven as long as you hold on to the things and the beliefs of this world. That is why I said:

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36)

I did not come to make people comfortable in their possessions and in their illusions. I came to make them uncomfortable with the things and the beliefs of this world, so that through their discomfort they could reach for the Spirit of Truth and be saved. That is why I said:

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34)

My sword is the word of truth that divides the real from the unreal. So for those who are willing to look beyond their fears, their intellectual pride – which tells them they know everything – and their comfort zone, let me now explain to you what is the true gift that I have given to humankind.

I shall send you a comforter

As one of the last instructions to my disciples, I gave them the following teaching:

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (John, Chapter 14)

Oh if only all Christians could truly understand the meaning of this teaching, could truly understand who and what is that comforter. So let me now explain, to those who have ears to hear, the true identity of the comforter who is with you even today.

To understand the comforter, you need to step back and take an overall look at religious life on this planet. You will see that there are two ways to approach religion. One is what I call the outer approach. It is the approach taken by the scribes, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the lawyers and the temple priests, the very people who condemned me to death.

Oh yes, I know that all Christians think they could never have condemned the Living Christ as these people did. Yet I tell you that you ought to look for the beam in your own eye before you judge the mote in the eye of another. The outer approach is not simply confined to a certain type of people living at a certain time. The outer approach to religion springs from an aspect of the human psyche, and thus all people have the potential to fall into this approach to religion.

What is the outer approach? It is based on the belief that you can enter Heaven by observing certain rules here on Earth. You think that as long as you believe in certain doctrines, defined by the right scriptures or the right authority figures, you will be saved. As longs you follow the rules defined by your religion and don’t do or say the wrong things, you will be saved. As long as you belong to the right religion and observe its rituals (at least on Sunday), you will be saved. In other words, you can be saved by performing certain outer acts and you do not have to take on the much more difficult task of examining yourself, your beliefs, your attitudes and your psychological wounds. You can be saved by changing your outer actions without changing yourself, your state of consciousness.

My beloved friends, how could you fail to see that millions of Christians have fallen into this outer approach to religion, thinking that because they belong to the only true religion – Christianity – and because they have declared Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they will automatically be saved? Do you see that millions of Christians expect that some day I will appear in the sky and whisk away all humankind’s problems, lifting all good Christians – that is “good” according to an outer standard – to Heaven and sending all nonbelievers to Hell?

How can you fail to see that this is the exact same approach to religion taken by those who condemned me when I walked the earth 2,000 years ago? Oh yes, I know full well the hearts of those who think they are good Christians and who judge all others based on their own standard. Oh yes, I know that different groups of Christians think they are the righteous ones and that they would have instantly recognized and followed me if they had met me in the flesh 2,000 years ago. Yet I tell you that this is far from being the case, and it is, in fact, a very dangerous illusion that could cost you your salvation.

You see, my beloved, salvation cannot be won by taking the outer approach to religion. That is why I said that the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees was not enough to get you to Heaven. Why not? Listen to one of my most profound statements, a statement often overlooked or misinterpreted by Christian preachers:

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke, Chapter 17)

Is it not clearly stated by me that you cannot enter the kingdom by observing outer rules and doctrines? Is it not clearly stated that the kingdom does not come as long as you are looking for it outside yourself? The kingdom does not come for you until the moment when you find it inside yourself!

What does it truly mean that the kingdom of God is within you? It means that the door to the kingdom of God is located inside of you, or rather inside your mind. It means that you cannot gain entry to the kingdom of God by performing outer actions, be they recitations of scriptures and creeds or the performance of rituals. You can gain entry to the kingdom in one way only, and that is by changing yourself, by changing your state of consciousness.

How can you change your state of consciousness? You must follow the very path followed by Paul, who said, “I die daily” (1Corinthians 15:31). Which part of Paul died every day? It was what he called his carnal mind—the natural man. This is the very mind that causes people to sin, to judge one another and to believe that the observance of outer rituals can get them to Heaven. That is why Paul said:

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians, Chapter 4)

Paul was willing to go through the difficult and painstaking process of examining himself and putting off that which he found to be unacceptable in the all-exposing light of Christ Truth. He was willing to let his carnal self die because he understood that he could not take this old man with him into Heaven. He knew that in order to enter the wedding feast, he had to put on the wedding garment (Matthew 22:12) of the new man, the new state of consciousness. Here is how Paul described this new man:

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. (Colossians 3:10)

So who was it that created this new man? It was none other than I, the ascended Jesus Christ, who created the new human that all people have the potential to put on, thereby entering the kingdom of Heaven within them. This new man can be described simply as a state of mind, namely the mind of Christ, but it is even more. How do you put on this new man? You cannot do so through outer observances. You can do so only by allowing this Spirit of Truth to dwell in you until you become one with that Spirit. Paul knew this, and that is why he said:

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 2:5)

When you allow the old state of consciousness, the carnal mind, to die and allow the new state of consciousness, the mind of Christ, to be born within you, then you will understand the true meaning of being born again. Oh how many Christians think that being born again means to simply declare me as their Lord and Savior. Nay, I say, no outer declaration can make you reborn in Christ! To truly be born again in Christ means to allow the mind of Christ to be born within you. That is why I said:

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John, Chapter 2)

That which is born of the flesh is not simply your physical body. It is the human state of consciousness, the carnal mind, that cannot recognize the Living Christ when it stands before him in the flesh. The people who did not recognize me 2,000 years ago were blinded by their carnal minds. That is why I said:

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive. (Matthew 13:14)

Likewise, if you do not recognize my Presence within you – or within this message – you too are blinded by your carnal mind. This carnal state of consciousness will not allow you to see that the door to the kingdom of Heaven is located within you. And that is why you look for an outer Savior who will do all the work for you instead or realizing that the true Savior, the only Savior, must be found within your own mind. Who is that inner Savior?

Who is the inner Savior?

The inner Savior is the king who is sitting on the throne in the kingdom of Heaven that is within you. He is your Lord—if you will but allow him to rule your life, instead of allowing yourself to be ruled by the lusts and judgments of the carnal mind and the temptations of this world. I described that inner Savior as the comforter:

26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. (John, Chapter 15)

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26)

Yet where did this comforter, this Spirit most Holy, come from? Did it appear out of nowhere or was its appearance linked to my ascension to the Father? Listen to my words:

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. (John, Chapter 16)

You see, my beloved, when I had ascended unto my Father and was given all power in Heaven and on Earth (Matthew 28:18), my greatest desire was to help those of my brothers and sisters who had not yet entered the kingdom. I therefore determined that the best thing I could do for humankind was to offer a portion of my own Spirit, my own Christ mind, to every person on Earth. I knew that only by absorbing that mind of Christ can you put on the wedding garment that allows you to enter the inner kingdom. Only through this Christ mind can you rise above the sin, the false sense of righteousness (the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees) and the judgment that springs from the carnal mind and keeps you from finding the inner kingdom. That is why I said:

The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. (Matthew 13:33)

You must absorb a morsel of the Christ mind and allow it to raise the vibration of your entire consciousness, until you have put off the old carnal mind and put on the new Christ mind. You put off the natural human and are reborn as the spiritual human that was created in God’s image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). So I decided to break the bread of life, to break my “body and my blood,” and offer a portion of myself, a portion of my Self, to each human being on Earth.

That portion is what I called the comforter 2,000 years ago. Many Christians have called it the Holy Spirit, and it truly is an aspect of God that is a spirit and is holy. Yet the Holy Spirit can be given to you only through a Being in Heaven who is willing to let his own Spirit be broken for you. And thus I decided to give you a part of my Spirit, a part of my Spiritual Self, as other beings in Heaven have done. This portion is not some deaf and dumb morsel of energy. It is truly a replica or myself that is a self-conscious being who is able to guide and counsel you on how to attain your salvation. Thus one might say that the comforter is your Christ self, a replica of the Spiritual Self of Jesus Christ.

Oh yes, I know that the term “Christ self” is not in the Bible, and I have heard Christians reject this term, saying, “If I had a Christ self, I wouldn’t need Jesus as my Savior.” But you see, my beloved, your Christ self is me! It is a part of my Self, a portion of my Spirit, and thus it is my most precious – and very personal – gift to you. Therefore, if you reject that gift, that personal Savior that I offer to each one of you, then you are truly rejecting me. I am come to ask you to stop rejecting my gift—thereby rejecting the only means to your salvation.

Do not reject the inner Savior

My beloved, do you now see the essential error made by millions of Christians over the past 2,000 years? Do you see that millions of Christians have fallen into the trap of taking the outer approach to religion, the very approach taken by the scribes and the Pharisees who rejected the embodied Christ? Do you see that millions of Christians have been worshipping an idol, have been dancing around the golden calf of an outer Savior who will save them without requiring them to change themselves? Do you see that this form of “righteousness,” the outer righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, simply will not allow you to enter the inner kingdom?

Throughout the ages, a few people have seen beyond this idol and the outer doctrines supporting it. They have gone beyond the outer scriptures, the letter of the law, and have discovered the Spirit of Truth. They have understood what Paul knew:

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (2Corinthians 3:6)

These few have taken a different approach to religion than the outer approach, and we might call it the inner approach, the mystical approach. Instead of wearing religion as an overcoat, they internalized my teachings and allowed their Christ selves to transform them after the image of the new human, the spiritual human. Because they were different from the mainstream, they have often been labeled mystics. Sometimes they have even been labeled heretics and have been persecuted by those who called themselves Christians but who had not understood the heart of my teaching. They had not understood because they had become as the lawyers that I rebuked:

Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. (Luke 11:52)

What is the key of knowledge? It is your Christ self, the Spirit of Truth within you who shall “teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26). This is the Spirit of Truth, and as I said:

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)

What is it that your Christ self will hear? It is my Living Word, spoken here in Heaven and translated to your mind by your Christ self, the Spirit of my Truth within you. Therefore, through your Christ self you have the ability to hear my Living Word directly in your own heart and mind.

You can know truth

My beloved, do you now see the other error made by millions of Christians over the past centuries? It is the belief that you cannot know truth on your own, that you need an outer scripture or a church authority to define truth for you.

Oh my beloved, this is a most insidious belief that truly never came from me or from my Father. In fact, this denial of your ability to know truth in your heart came from only one place, and it was promoted by the very people who had become so trapped in the outer approach to religion that they had lost all truth. These are the people I rebuked when I said:

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44)

Do you see that the devil has no truth in him because he has denied that the Spirit of Truth is within him? He has denied the Christ within himself, and he is seeking to fool all human beings into engaging in that same denial. This then brings me to the point where I can reveal to you the very essence of my mission, the very reason for my coming to Earth.

You see, those who take the outer approach to religion think that I came to do all the work for them and that the kingdom of God comes with observation of an outer religion. Yet the truth is that because the kingdom of God is within you, I cannot save you through outer means. I can save you only when you decide to stop looking for me outside yourself, be it in a scripture or in a church. I can save you only when you decide to enter the kingdom within you, to find my Spirit, your Christ self, and decide to put on the new human of the mind of Christ. You must let your Christ self “be in you” and “guide you into all truth.”

Do you now see that I came to Earth for one reason and for one reason only? I came to show you the absolute truth that you do not need any person or any institution from outside yourself in order to be saved. You have everything required for your salvation within yourself, namely the gift of my Spirit that is broken for you!

Stop kicking against the pricks!

My beloved, do you understand the stupendous implications of what I am telling you? Oh yes, I know that for many Christians this will be a shocking truth that flies in the face of everything they have been told since Sunday school. Yet before you reject this teaching, please remember how Paul started out persecuting my followers, yet he was willing to turn his life around and become my most powerful advocate.

You too have the potential for such a turnaround, and I think some honest introspection will show that you already have many questions that official doctrines cannot answer. You might have been told by the modern-day lawyers that no answers exist, but I tell you that if you are willing to look beyond the outer doctrines, I will give you my Living Truth in your heart. And you will see that truth in a blinding flash, as did Paul when I said:

Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. (Acts 26:14)

Therefore, learn from Paul’s example and be willing to go through the transformation experienced by Paul:

And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. (Acts 9:18)

Start by considering that the very people who condemned me to death also took the outer approach to religion and believed no one could be saved without the outer religion. In fact, it was precisely my statement that the kingdom of God is within you that caused the religious authorities to plot my death. They realized full well that if the people began to believe this one statement, they would soon realize that they did not need the outer religion, or the people in charge of that religion, in order to be saved. And then the leaders of the outer religion would lose their privileged positions and their power over the people.

My beloved, do you see that these power-hungry leaders were not about to let go of their control over the people? They were not about to allow some extremist preacher, what today would be called a New Age cult leader, to wrestle from them the power they had held for centuries. An in their attempt to maintain their power, they were willing to kill the Living Christ who walked among them in the flesh. Do you see that these were truly the false prophets:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (Matthew 7:15)

They appeared in sheep’s clothing because they wore the raiments of their orthodox religion and claimed to be working for the cause of God. Yet in reality they had set themselves up as an authority between the people and their God, as has the false leaders of so many other religions seen throughout human history.

And yes, as sad as it is to say, I must tell you in all honesty that there are many false prophets who occupy leadership positions in Christian churches and claim to be doing the Lord’s work. And they are truly doing their lord’s work, but who is their true lord? If you will consider this honestly, you will see that they have taken the teachings I gave, teachings meant to set people free from bondage, and twisted them into outer doctrines that turn me into an idol to worship rather than an example to follow. And this twisted doctrine keeps people in bondage to an outer religion instead of setting them free to find me within themselves. And thus these modern-day false prophets are seeking to maintain their power by killing the Christ within you. If you do not believe me, ask them to explain one of my most important statements:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12)

You will see that the false preachers have numerous intellectual interpretations to explain away the possibility that anyone could follow in my footsteps and do the works that I did. Yet these explanations are aimed at justifying why you need the outer church and the leaders of that church. All of these explanations deny that a portion of my Spirit is ready to be born within you. I did make this statement, and thus you must either deny my words in the Scriptures, or you must deny the explanations given by the lawyers who are not willing to enter my kingdom within themselves—and are seeking to prevent you from entering.

The truth is that for the kingdom of God to come to Earth, many people must follow my example and put on the mind of Christ, through which God can give humanity the solution to all of its problems. And unless you become one with the Spirit of Christ within you, your Christ self, you cannot do the works that I did. So I now tell you to stop following the false leaders of whom I said:

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15:14)

When I appeared in the flesh 2,000 years ago, I came to challenge the false leaders of the outer religion and to show all people the timeless truth that you do not need an outer scripture or an outer religion in order to be saved. You have the kingdom of God within you, but you will never find it as long as you are looking outside yourself.

This is the essential truth about religion that has been understood by the mystics of all ages. Unfortunately, in all past ages, this truth has been overlooked by the general population, in part because the wolves in sheep’s clothing have kept this truth hidden from the masses they were trying to control through the outer religion. Yet I tell you that we have entered a new day, a new age, in which the general population is ready to understand this truth and use it to reach for the Spirit of Truth, their own Christ selves.

Leave the false preachers!

So I now come again, not in the flesh but through the Living Word spoken through someone in the flesh. And once again I come with the same message. And sadly, this time I have to challenge the very leaders of the religion that claims to represent me on Earth. Yet it has turned my true teachings upside down so that none dare follow my example. Therefore, I must tell you that those in the Christian religion who deny the Spirit of Christ within themselves and within their followers are not my true representatives on Earth. They are the people of whom I said:

24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. (Luke, Chapter 13)

Those who are not able to enter are those who take the outer approach to religion and who preach it from their pulpits, thus deceiving their followers into believing that by knocking on the door outside themselves, they will be allowed into the kingdom. These are the ones who cannot enter the inner kingdom because they refuse to internalize my teachings. They work iniquity by causing their followers to become trapped by an outer religion, waiting for the outer savior that never comes, all the while shutting up their ears to the inner Savior, my very own Spirit, who is calling them in the stillness of their hearts. Therefore, I now say to these false preachers, “I know you not!”

In truth, you can enter the kingdom only when you find and open the door that is inside your heart, for this is the door of which I spoke:

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it. (Revelation 3:8)

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)

How can you fail to see that the only door that no man or no man-made institution can shut is the door inside your heart, the door of my Spirit abiding within you? And if you do not invite my Spirit, in the form of your personal Christ self, to enter, then how can the Living Christ sup with you? Do you see that the prince of this world is constantly trying to shut your mind to the presence of that door, so that you cannot enter the inner kingdom? And do you see that the prince of this world will use any means – even an outer religion claiming to be the only true representative of Christ – to prevent you from entering my open door?

So do you now see that the denial of the Christ within every human being, the denial that every human being has the potential to put on the mind of Christ, can come from only one place, namely the consciousness of anti-christ? After all, what is anti-christ but the denial of Christ? So if you deny the Presence of Christ within yourself, or within others, you have been blinded by the consciousness of anti-christ.

There is no compromise; you either accept my Presence within you or you reject it. You either serve the false master of anti-christ, the consciousness of anti-christ, or you serve the true Master of your Christ self. And if you deny my Presence within you, you cannot be one of my true followers, and thus you should not call yourself a Christian.

Likewise, unless you find my Spirit within you, you cannot possibly understand my teachings or interpret the scriptures. And this explains why so many groups of Christians are fighting over this or that interpretation of scripture. They are fighting because they are denying the Presence of Christ within themselves. Thus, they are left to interpret the scriptures with the carnal mind instead of going within to get the true interpretation directly through my Living Word. There will never be peace among Christians until they rise above the consciousness of anti-christ and find true unity through the inner Christ. And if there be no peace among Christians, how can there be peace on Earth?

The Lord has need of thee

This now brings me to the reason for giving you this message. I, the living Jesus Christ, have need of you. I have a need of those who will do for me in this age what my apostles, disciples and thousands of early followers did for me 2,000 years ago. I have need of those who will challenge the spirit of anti-christ wherever it is found and proclaim my true Gospel of the kingdom of God within you. I have need of those who will ponder and embody these teachings about the inner Christ and then shout this message from the housetops. I have need of those who will heed my call:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)

However, the gospel I need you to preach in this age is not the gospel that is based on the outer approach to religion. It is not the gospel of fear, the gospel that springs from the consciousness of anti-christ. I need you to preach my true Gospel of the inner Christ and the fact that you can know truth by allowing my Spirit of Truth to dwell within you. For truly, it is this Gospel of the inner Christ of which I said:

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:16)

They that believe and enter the inner kingdom, where they are baptized by the fire of their personal Christ selves, are saved. And they that believe not are damning themselves to remain in the outer kingdom that is presently ruled by the prince of this world, even the spirit of anti-christ.

Do you see that it was not one single person who spread my Gospel 2,000 years ago? It was thousands upon thousands of people who did whatever they could to spread my true Gospel, thereby proclaiming:

The kingdom of God is at hand! (Matthew 10:7)

And the true meaning is that the kingdom of God is at hand because I have given you a portion of my Christ Spirit in the form of your individual Christ self. And when you allow your soul to merge with that Christ self, you become the bride of Christ who is worthy to enter the wedding feast and remain with the bridegroom forever.

So I now ask you to go into your heart and deeply consider the message I have given you. Consider what this means for you personally and how you might need to change your approach to religion based upon this new understanding. And if you have doubts, be willing to set aside some time and go within your heart, sending me a simple prayer:

Beloved Jesus Christ, I ask you to protect and seal me from the forces of this world and the lies of anti-christ, in whatever disguise they have entered my consciousness. I ask you to reveal to me the truth about your inner teachings and how I can be true to your calling by putting on the mind of Christ. Jesus, please give me the truth that will make me free, for I am willing to be free of the lies of anti-christ.

I ask you to reveal to me how I can help you spread your true teachings in this age. Beloved Jesus, I am willing to be God-taught, I am willing to discover your Living Truth and I am willing to be reborn into a new understanding of your Truth. I am willing to let your Living Word enter my heart and mind, letting it transform me according to your perfect vision for me. I am willing to let my carnal self die in order to receive the immortal life of the Christ consciousness.

Beloved Jesus, I love you and I long to keep your commandments so that I can be with you in our Father’s kingdom. Therefore, I pray that you show me your true commandments that I may be a true disciple of the Living Christ and never again reject your gift to me. Amen.

My beloved, I am giving you this message, and I ask you to ponder it and my other messages in which I explain how to follow the way of union with your Christ self. And when you hear my voice in your heart, heed my voice and then go help your brothers and sisters in spirit discover my voice in their hearts. When you have internalized my Living Word, I ask you to take this message and shout it from the housetops:

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. (Matthew 10:27)

I want everyone to receive this message

I desire that every single person who calls himself or herself a Christian will be presented with this message. I am not asking you to force anyone to read it, but I am asking you to help me give everyone the opportunity to read it.

The truth is that my Father in Heaven has declared that the time has come to banish the spirit of anti-christ from the Earth. Yet God’s law requires that for this to happen, all people must be given the opportunity to choose the true master of the Christ self over the false master, the mammon, of the carnal self. And thus all people deserve to be told about the existence of their Christ selves and their potential to merge with that self and put on the mind of Christ.

If you are willing to help with this cosmic undertaking, then I ask you to take this message and run with it. Duplicate and spread it in whatever form you can. Send it or give it to anyone you meet and do not judge who is open and who is not. Simply present them with my message and give them their freedom to accept it or reject it as they see fit. Your job is to give people the opportunity to choose. Their job is to choose this day whom they will serve, to decide whether they will choose life, the life of the Christ mind, or choose death, the death of the carnal mind, the consciousness of anti-christ.

I am asking for your help to preach my true Gospel to every creature. In truth, there is nothing more important you can do for me in this age than to internalize my inner teachings and then help me spread those teachings to every human being on Earth. If you are willing to help me, then take this message and let it spread like rings on the water, until it has reached every shore. Tell people that the safe harbor for which they yearn is located in their own hearts. The lighthouse, which will guide them to the harbor, is their Christ selves and the harbormaster is the living Jesus Christ. I will welcome them with open arms and a heart that overflows with unconditional love, the perfect love that will cast out all fear.

If you love me, keep my commandments. Behind all other commandments is one overall commandment, namely the key of knowledge itself, the key to the inner kingdom. This master commandment is that you put on the mind of Christ so that these words are true for you:

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1John 3:2)

Dare to be like me, and I promise you that you shall see me as I am, for I AM THAT I AM, Jesus Christ, and I seal you in my perfect love. It is finished!

The last stages in the ascension spiral

You come to that point in the ascension spiral, where you realize, that it is time for you to focus on your ascension—not as a way to elevate yourself compared to others, for you are no longer focused on other people. You are focused on the task of taking those last stages of accelerating yourself into the purity of the ascension. You come to that point at the top of the ascension spiral, where you reach the singularity, beyond which you are no longer in the ascension spiral. You are in the ascended state.

And to reach that point will require a 100 percent, one-pointed effort, where you forget everything about raising others or raising the world. You are focused on raising your sense of self, and you know that in doing so, you will also make the maximum contribution to raising others. But you are not concerned about raising others or about their choices, or proving them right or wrong. You are concerned only with passing those last initiations in the Temple of the Ascension, whereby you can walk through the doorway, the singularity. Where the man who descended down from heaven can ascend back to heaven, because it recognizes itself as that point of pure awareness, that is an extension of the Creator’s Being.

Thus, I have spoken long, far longer than many of you can handle, as the light that I have released beyond the words will have stirred up your own impurities, and you will therefore have been forced, so to speak, to make the choice as to whether you will take another round outside of the Ascension Temple, for you are not yet ready to look at some impurity in yourself without condemning yourself. And thus I, Serapis, do not condemn anyone. Regardless of your reaction to this release, I do not condemn you, and you can at any point in the future come back to me and say, “Serapis, now I am ready to look at the beam in my own eye. Show me, for I desire to accelerate into Purity.”

And at that point, you can be sure, that I will receive you with open arms. For if you will study my past lives, my past service from the ascended realm, you will see that it was always my goal to be the open door between the human condition and the ascended realm, to be the open door between heaven and earth. So that no matter what level of consciousness people have descended into, I could provide them a way to accelerate beyond it and start the upward process, that would eventually lead them to be worthy to enter that ascension spiral. Thus, I say to you, whatever your reaction to this release, go in peace. Know, that you have the love and the acceptance of the chohan of the fourth ray. For indeed, I AM Serapis Bey. I AM Serapis Soleil. I AM Serapis of the sun.

How to lock in to the ascension spiral

Take note that you can be on the spiritual path for many lifetimes, gradually rising, without actually truly locking in to the ascension spiral. As we said in Lourdes,* the first three rays out of the seven are sort of the neophyte stages, where you can gradually rise even though you have many impurities, that you have not been willing to look at. But when you come to the fourth ray, when you come to the ascension spiral, then you need to begin to be more conscious of the need to accelerate yourself.

And as I said, whatever stage of consciousness you are at right now, it was your power that created it. And thus, you have the power to accelerate yourself beyond it. And when you are beyond it, then you will gain the power to accelerate yourself beyond that level of consciousness and therefore take the next step. And as I said, the ascension spiral is not completed by taking the last step: it is completed only by taking every step. And for every step, you are required to use the consciousness you have at that step to accelerate yourself beyond that step. It is that simple.

It is not, as so many ascended master students believe and envision, that you need some magical power from beyond yourself. The ascension spiral is not a spiral, where you receive some magical light from above that propels you higher. You enter the ascension spiral when you realize the truth in the statement that: “The Kingdom of God is within you.” Whereby you realize, that you do not need light from outside yourself, for you have that light inside yourself, because the core of your being is the conscious self, that is an extension of God’s Being—and therefore is the open door between the spiritual realm and the material world in which you currently have focused your sense of self.

You are not a material being. You are a spiritual being who is temporarily focusing your sense of self inside the role of a material being. But you are more than this. And when you realize that you are more – and therefore, the power that you need to rise is within you – then you begin the ascension spiral. Then I, Serapis Bey, can begin to truly help you ascend and rise higher in that ascension spiral, until you build such a momentum where you know, that nothing can take you out of that spiral. For the power is within you, the Kingdom is within you.

The choice is the judgment

That is when you come to that momentum, where you can go out into the world and instead of judging, you are the judgment, in the sense that you are the Word. And thus, you give people the choice. And the choice is what is the judgment.

Do you understand, that you can call for someone’s judgment forever and a day, but until they actually see, that they have a choice between reality and unreality, the judgment is not full. And how do you help other people see that they have a choice? Do you do that by putting them down, by condemning them, by judging them as being unworthy? Or do you help them by accepting, that they are self-aware beings? And therefore, your role is to not judge, analyze, or evaluate at all, but to simply be who you are, to shine your light, and to express to others whatever comes to you from within, spontaneously, without analyzing with the linear mind how to counteract their arguments with words.

No, you allow yourself to be the Word and let it flow without being premeditated, for you are being the open door for the creative flow of the Word of God, without thinking that you can know with your outer mind which argument would convince another or what is wrong in another. Do you see? You will never actually help another person by proving their arguments wrong. Partly because you can never prove anything wrong in the duality consciousness, so they can always come up with a counter-argument. But partly because you cannot overcome the duality consciousness with the duality consciousness. So you will only help another by showing them an alternative, by showing them that they will not silence your Word no matter what words they speak against you. And even if they nail you to a cross and kill your physical body, they will not have power over you, your sense of identity, your Spirit. This is what Jesus demonstrated.

Do you still want to hide something?

So what will it take for you to consciously enter the ascension spiral? It will take that you make the decision, that you no longer want to hide anything from the ascended masters who are overseeing your personal ascension process. I will work with anyone, whatever level of consciousness they are at. And there is no one on earth who cannot somehow attend some kind of spiritual schoolroom, once they go beyond the school of hard knocks. But I AM Serapis Bey, and I AM the hierarch at the temple at Luxor, the Ascension Temple. The Ascension Temple is not for neophytes on the spiritual path. It is for those who have risen to the advanced stages of the ascension process. That means not everyone is qualified to enter.

What will it take for you to qualify yourself to enter? It will take a realization of what the ascension process is about. First of all, as I said, that you will not seek to hide anything. So if you come to the doors of the Ascension Temple and have not been willing to look at all of the beams in your own eye, well then I, Serapis, must tell you to go somewhere else, to some other retreat. And then, you can come back to me, when you are willing to have me expose to you anything and everything that is not pure. I have no desire to put you down, to condemn you. And thus, if you are not ready to look at something – because looking at that something would make you condemn yourself – then I will, out of mercy, ask you to go elsewhere.

And when you have overcome this lack of self-esteem, then you can come back and enter the Ascension Temple. For it requires a certain level of self-esteem before you can look at any impurities within yourself without going into the negative spiral of condemning yourself, but instead saying: “This impurity is not the real me, and I will not allow it to weigh me down and to hold me back from the ascension initiations. Therefore, I will look it straight in the eye and I will say to it, ‘Accelerate into Purity! Accelerate into Purity! Accelerate into Purity! Accelerate into Purity!’”

“And I am willing to accelerate my sense of self-worth, to where I can indeed look Serapis Bey straight in the eye and say: ‘Master, I welcome your discipline! I welcome your exposure of anything within me, that prevents me from entering the Ascension Temple, that prevents me from taking the next initiation under your guidance. For I love you more than the impurities in my own consciousness, and thus I am willing to have you expose those impurities—that I may come into oneness with you and with the love that is your flame of purity and the ultimate love that is the ascension spiral.‘“

I have no desire whatsoever to have anyone come to me and have something exposed in their beings, that makes them condemn themselves to the point, where they go into a negative spiral and, perhaps for many lifetimes, are not able to again see themselves as worthy to be initiates under Serapis Bey. Thus, I simply redirect those who are not at that point, where they are ready and willing to look at anything in themselves without condemning themselves for having taken on an impurity—that after all is not real and is not the real them.

So what happens when you come to the point, where you are willing to look at anything in yourself, and where you are willing to realize, that no matter what might be exposed, it is only unreality? And thus, when you are willing to surrender your attachment to it – and when you are willing to accelerate the energy – then there is no reason for condemnation, for judgment. There is no reason for accepting the accusation of the accuser of your brethren—that because you have this impurity you are not worthy to transcend it.

The ascension is transcendence

What is the ascension coil all about? It is about transcendence—transcending conditions, transcending impurities. If you have an impurity, I do not sit here, as Serapis Bey, as the master of ascension, and say, “Oh, this is bad. You must now go out into the world and get rid of your impurity and then come back to me.” On the contrary, I, Serapis Bey, look at your impurity and say, “Great! What an opportunity to transcend!”

Do you see, that for me an impurity is not a cause for judgment and condemnation and putting down? It is an opportunity for transcendence, for taking one more step in the ascension spiral, one more step up the spiral staircase. When you can look at it the same way – that no matter what might be exposed, it is only an opportunity for you to transcend – then you are ready to work with me in the pure white light of the Ascension Temple. Until then, it is better for you, that you stay outside of that pure white light, where you can still hide that which you are not yet ready to look at without going into the negative spiral of condemning yourself.

So now what happens when you come to that point, where you are willing to look at anything without condemning yourself, for you have realized that you are a spiritual being? You have realized, as we have said, that you are a conscious self that is an extension of God’s own Being, but that your conscious self is pure consciousness—and therefore cannot be a separate self, cannot be identified with a separate self. You are pure consciousness that nothing can stick to. And that is why you realize, that you can look at any impurity that you have taken into your lower being, and you know that it cannot stick to the real you—for you are pure consciousness. Nothing on earth can stick to you, nothing can color you.

And therefore, you can step out of any sense of separate self and know, that you are MORE, that you can change your perspective. And thus, you realize, that the ascension process is really a process whereby you – the conscious self that you are, the core of your Identity – gradually shifts your perception of self. Until you get out of the polluted perception of the separate self, of any form of separate self, and get back to the pure perception of your pure identity as a spiritual being with certain divine characteristics, that make you a unique individual. But those characteristics are anchored in your I AM Presence, and are not the conditions that you have taken on in your sojourn on earth or in other realms of the material universe, the world of form.

Seek only to raise up all life

And when you come to that realization – that you are pure awareness – then you can fulfill the next requirement for entering the Ascension Temple, namely that you seek only to raise up all life. You do not seek to divide life into those who can be raised and those who should be put down. You do not seek to put down any part of life.

The ascension process, as I said, is an individual process. You will ascend alone, as an individual being. What does that mean? It means that you cannot ascend if you feel responsible for the salvation or ascension of other people. Neither can you ascend if you feel the need to judge, condemn, or put down any other being. Do you hear me? If you feel the need to judge, condemn, put down, or destroy even the devil himself, then you cannot ascend.

God did not put you in charge of deciding who is worthy or not worthy. The Karmic Board is in charge of deciding who is worthy and not worthy to embody on earth. There is a complex equation for deciding which lifestreams should be allowed to embody on planet earth. But it is not an equation that involves a value judgment as to who is worthy and not worthy. It is simply a matter of looking at the current consciousness of humankind, and then seeing whether one particular lifestream resonates with that consciousness and would help to pull up the collective, pull down the collective, pull up itself, pull down itself, by being given the opportunity to embody.

This is a complex process, that the members of the Karmic Board are trained to perform. You as a human being in embodiment on earth have been given the opportunity to embody here. This should cause some humility. For if you had the consciousness, that made you able to judge who should be allowed to embody and who should not, then you would not have needed to embody. In fact, you could not have embodied from that level of consciousness. And thus, the very fact that you are in embodiment means, that you do not have the level of consciousness that makes you qualified to play God and decide who should be allowed to be on earth and who should not.

It is indeed only those who have entered a negative spiral – who have come to believe in the epic dramas created by the fallen ones – who think that they can decide who is worthy and unworthy, that they can single out one person and say this person should not be allowed to be in embodiment, this person should be sent to the second death, this person is in their last embodiment and will never be given another opportunity. If you cannot see that this is simply the judgment, the value judgment that springs from the fallen consciousness, then certainly you are not ready to enter the ascension spiral. For in the ascension spiral you are not seeking to condemn or put down any part of life. You are seeking to accelerate every part of life, so that you can reinforce the collective ascension spiral for your particular area, such as planet earth, and thereby you will pull up all life.

What did Jesus say, when he contemplated entering the ascension? He said, “I, if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.” He did not say, “I will draw unto me the good men and destroy the bad men.” For if he had said so, he would not have been lifted up into the ascension spiral, for he was still not ready to let go of the epic dramas and the struggle. We in the ascended realm are not sitting around wanting to put down any part of life, not even the devil himself.

If the devil himself – although the devil, as conceived by most people on earth, is not one single being – but nevertheless, if any of the original fallen beings that fell in that first sphere, if they came to us and sincerely applied to raise up their consciousness, then they would receive our help. Of course they would. Any being who sincerely applies, will receive the help of the ascended masters to accelerate beyond their present level of consciousness. This is also your hope of redemption, of salvation, of the ascension.

So in order to enter the ascension spiral, you must focus on raising up life, and you cannot do that if you are focused on judging, on dividing people into those who are good and those who are bad. It simply is not possible. You cannot enter that ascension spiral, if you still have that need, that desire, to judge based on the value judgment. All life is worthy to be accelerated into purity. No impurity can be so impure, that it is not worthy or capable of being accelerated into purity. That is the extreme realism of the fourth ray, and of those who are in the ascending spiral and those who have passed through it and ascended.

You cannot ascend with impure perception

When you take a realistic look at the ascension process, you realize, that there is no possibility of hiding anything. And therefore, what is the requirement for you to even begin the ascension process? It is that you come to the conscious realization – and the conscious decision – that you do not want to hide anything. You have no longer the desire to hide anything from anyone, be it people on earth or the ascended masters.

There are many retreats of the ascended masters. I, Serapis, work in more than one retreat. I do not only work at Luxor, in the ascension retreat. As I said this spring at the conference in Lourdes, I am willing to work with any one at any stage of consciousness, at any stage of impurity, for I AM the master of purity. I do not judge and condemn anyone. I have no need to judge, for I AM one with purity. And the flame of purity that I AM will filter out those who are not willing to become pure. For they have impurities, that they are not done with experiencing, and so they want to hold on to that.

Do you see the essential difference here? So many human beings judge one another, and they do this by formulating a standard in their own consciousness. And then they say, “Those who live up to this standard are good people, and those who do not live up to this standard are bad people.” Depending on the standard, depending on people’s state of consciousness, they have now created a division among humankind. There are those who are human beings like themselves and those who are no longer human beings like themselves, but a kind of sub-humans or non-humans. Now you have created a division in your mind. Where does such a division come from? Does it come from the ascended consciousness? Or does it come from the unascended consciousness, the consciousness of duality?

As we have recently brought forth teachings on perception, I must tell you that these teachings contain the very key, whereby those who are willing can enter the ascension spiral—beginning right where they are. For you can realize, that what it will take for you to enter the ascension spiral is, that you begin to question your perception. No one has ever ascended with impure perception. For if you speak or act with perception impure, then suffering follows. You cannot enter the ascension spiral as long as you are suffering, as long as you are struggling against something or striving for some dualistic goal that is not the goal of God.

What is the goal of God? Is it to divide humanity into those who are good and those who are evil? Is it to single out certain individuals as being the scapegoat, as being the cause of all of your troubles—and then seeking to judge or condemn or destroy these individuals? Nay, this is not the goal of God. The goal of God is to raise up all life. The goal of God respects free will, so that those who are not willing to enter an ascending spiral must go to a lower sphere as one sphere ascends. But the goal of God is to raise up all life, and therefore God respects free will and also – as a result of that respect – does not condemn those who are not willing to enter the ascension spiral, for they want to have more experiences in the lower realms.

God has no need to condemn anyone. The Father judges no man, but has left all judgment to the Son. Only, the Son does not judge based on human value judgments, human conditions, dualistic conditions. The Son, in fact, does not judge with the analytical, linear mind. The Son simply IS the light, and the light does its work by facing people with a choice to either accept the light or to reject the light. Do you think that when Jesus confronted the scribes and the Pharisees, do you think it was his goal to go in and argue with them at the level of their dualistic consciousness, their linear, analytical minds, and convince them that his words were more right than their words? No, Jesus had no desire to split hairs with the scribes and Pharisees over interpretations of scripture. That was what they did with each other.

Jesus came to give those who were willing an opportunity to accelerate beyond that level of consciousness, and thus he did not come in with words. He did not argue with their words. He did not seek to come up with a better argument through words, that would invalidate or put down the other people. He sought to raise them up by being the Word. But beyond the words he spoke, the words that they could hear, there was a vibration, a love, a purity of the Christ consciousness, that gave them a choice that they had never had before, when they only encountered people who were arguing with words.

By encountering one person who had embodied the Word, they had the choice to either accept the Word or continue in their words, their endless arguments over this or that, or who said that or who said this, and who is right and who is not right, and why this sentence is in contradiction with what was said 255 years ago by this or that previous organization, or whether it was in contradiction with what was said yesterday. For the linear mind can always find contradictions, for the linear mind is one big contradiction, that can never resolve its own contradictions. You cannot resolve contradictions at the level of words. How do you resolve contradictions? By becoming the Word, by embodying the Word, where there is no darkness nor shadow of turning but only the one light of Christ.

Let go of the glamorous images of the ascension

Indeed, there are many who have taken on an impure and unrealistic image of what it means to ascend—being so focused on a secret ritual in some elaborate temple. Being so focused on the pomp and circumstance, supposedly, of the ascension process, that they raise their eyes to the sky and yet fail to see, that the ascension is a process. And as Saint Paul said, “I die daily,” so I, Serapis, say, “I ascend daily.” And you, in order to enter the ascension spiral, must also say, “I ascend daily.” But of course it is not enough to just say it. You must live it. You must be it. You must indeed be willing to daily accelerate your sense of self by doing what we might call the “nitty-gritty,” the not-so-glamorous tasks that are part of the ascension spiral.

For you see, there are indeed many students of the ascended masters who have read various descriptions of the advanced initiations that take place in the pyramid or at the Temple of Luxor or in other etheric temples. And they envision in their minds, that in order to make their ascension, they have to somehow travel in their finer bodies to one of these temples, where they are clearly identified as adepts, as advanced students, and they are surrounded by advanced masters and they are going through these advanced rituals, that could not take place of earth. And I AM, of course, not denying that at the very later stages of the ascension process, there are such rituals.

Yet what you need to recognize is simply this: How do you get to the advanced stages of the ascension spiral? Well, how do you get to the top step on a spiral staircase? By first walking on to the bottom step—and then continuing to take one step at a time until you reach the top step. It may seem more glorious to take that final step, but is it any more important than taking each of the other steps that led to that final step?

My point therefore is this: If you are so focused on the advanced stages of the ascension, you will see no connection between those advanced initiations and your daily life. And if you see no connection between your daily life and the final stages of the ascension, then how can you ascend daily? How can your daily life become one more step in the ascension spiral?

Instead, what will happen is that there will be a gap in your vision, your consciousness, between your daily life, your daily state of consciousness, and the advanced stages of the ascension process. And then you will be susceptible to the false promise, that comes in so many disguises: that by being a member of an outer organization – and that by giving certain decrees and rituals and rosaries and by studying certain teachings and by doing this and doing that – you will somehow automatically qualify for your ascension. You will somehow automatically make the leap from where you are at in consciousness on earth to the advanced stages of the ascension process. It is as if you think, that there is some kind of magic, some kind of accelerator chair, that will raise up anyone who sits in it, so you can bridge the gap.

Where does your ascension spiral begin?

Are you aware – as all of you are aware, I am sure – that scientists have for decades been searching for the missing link between ape and man in the evolutionary chain? Well, I can tell you that there are many, many students of occult wisdom, so to speak, who have been searching for lifetimes for the missing link between their current state of consciousness and whatever advanced stage of consciousness they see as their goal. Why is it that people cannot find that missing link, cannot bridge the gap? Because they are not willing to look at their present stage of consciousness, their present life circumstances, and realize that right here – right where I am right now – this is the only place that my personal ascension spiral can begin.

And when does your personal ascension spiral begin? It begins when you consciously decide, that you will approach everything you encounter in your daily life as an opportunity to rise one step higher towards your ascension. Do you see the essential shift in consciousness that I am asking for? You cannot simply be a member of an outer organization, or perform outer rituals of any kind, and expect that this will automatically take you into the ascension spiral. You must follow the eternal, universal call of Christ, to look first at the beam in your own eye. This is the absolute requirement. For think about it logically. The ascension process is a process whereby you – as an individual lifestream – accelerate your being, your aura, your consciousness, your mind – whatever you want to call it – but that which makes up your individual lifestream has to be accelerated beyond the vibrations of earth.

The ascension is not a group effort. Although, certainly, one can say that groups of lifestreams, even humanity as a whole, can be engaged in an ascending spiral. Nevertheless, you do not walk through the pearly gates to the ascended state as a group, where someone of lesser attainment can somehow slump along with the rest of the group, for they make up what is lacking in a particular individual. The ascension process is an entirely individual process. It is also a process where you cannot hide behind anything—and you cannot hide anything. And therefore, when you look at this logically, you will see, that before you can truly enter the ascension spiral, you must overcome one of the primary illusions and desires of the human ego, namely that what you can hide from other people can also be hidden from God and the ascended masters.

I AM Serapis Bey. I AM an ascended Being. I AM the chohan of the Fourth Ray of Purity. Do you think, that you can hide any form of impurity from me? Do you think you can sneak into my temple at Luxor, the Ascension Temple itself, while hiding some aspect of human momentum, some aspect of the duality consciousness, some epic or personal drama? Do you think I will not see this, when you apply to enter? For if you do, I can assure you, that you will never close the gap between your daily life and the ascension spiral.
