What is the ascension, my beloved? What is the ascension process? Well it is that you must accept that you are no longer a mortal human being, you are now an immortal spiritual being. If you cannot accept that, you cannot ascend.

You might be used to thinking that the ascension is a matter of fulfilling certain requirements. And once you have fulfilled those requirements – ”poof” – one day you will ascend. It is not so! There are requirements to fulfill, my beloved. Certainly, that is true. But the process of ascension is not an automatic process, it is not a mechanical process—it is a creative process. Which means that it involves choices that you must make.

And what are the choices you make? What do I mean when I say “Choose life over death?” Well, “Choose life!” means that you choose to accept a new identity, a new sense of self, that is MORE than the sense of self you had before—even a second ago.

So you see, my beloved, the ego wants to pervert this entire concept of the spiritual path into thinking that you walk a long path towards an ultimate goal. And the ego has two advantages of this. By making you accept that you are walking a long path, it can make you accept that the ultimate goal is far out in the future. As you indeed have had many previous students of the ascended masters who have believed that they would ascend, they would become the Christ, only far into the future. But certainly not now—certainly not right now, right here. And you see, this is the ego trying to make the conscious self believe that it cannot simply shift its sense of identity in an instant and be the Christ in an instant.
And so, the other advantage that the false teachers and the ego gain from this perception is that there is this idea that there is some ultimate stage, some ultimate initiation, you go through—and then you have attained some permanent state.

Give up the dream of an ultimate initiation

You see, my beloved, give up this idea that there is some ultimate initiation, some ultimate goal that is far out there in the future. Instead, accept the reality that the River of Life is a process, an ever-moving stream of constant, on-going, perpetual self-transcendence. It is precisely, as the Buddha explained, the attempt to hold on to a particular sense of self that brings you into the consciousness of death, the consciousness of duality.

In the ascended state, you do not have a permanent, fixed, sense of identity. You are constantly ascending. In fact, it might be constructive, my beloved, instead of talking about ascended masters, to talk about Ascending masters.
For we are constantly ascending, we are constantly being reborn into a higher sense of self. This is, indeed, what I represent to this earth, having taken up a position as the representative of the twelfth ray of rebirth, my beloved. This is what I came to bring forth 2,000 years ago. And now – in the fullness that I AM now – I have taken up that position of representing this rebirth. And it is, indeed, the supreme opportunity for the more advanced spiritual seekers to accelerate their beings beyond a certain point, where they simply shed that snakeskin of the old identity and are reborn into a new sense of self.

But, my beloved, in order to be fully reborn, you have to accept that you now are that new sense of self. It is not a theoretical concept that is still “out there” in the distance and that you might someday take on. No, it is now. It is here. It is you. This is who I am.

You might have made a mistake yesterday, but if you see the mistake, see the consciousness behind it and let it go, then you are reborn into a new self. And the self that you are today was not the self that made the mistake yesterday or ten thousand embodiments ago. And therefore, you do not need to hang on to these feelings that you had in the old sense of self. In fact, you do not even need to hold on to the memory.

Ascended Master MORE, October 26, 2007 through Kim Michaels.

So now you have the concept of Moses going to the mount and communing with God, or rather with a representative of God. And Moses knows that the people will not accept him unless he gives them something concrete that they can use to picture this God that he met on the mountain. So he asks God to give him a name. And God uses the name I AM or I AM THAT I AM, but you see – as we have said before – this is not really a name. It is a riddle, a Zen koan, my beloved, that you can contemplate. And you see that even the concept of I AM THAT I AM is a concept that is adapted to the consciousness of the people in a dualistic state.

What is really being said here? I AM THAT I AM is implying that at any moment I AM Being whatever I want to Be. And thus, when you understand the reality here, you understand that God is really saying: “I am not a static God. I am not a dead God. I am not a graven image. And no matter what graven image you create on earth, you cannot fit me into that mental box. For your mental box must be finite, but I AM infinite.” What God was really saying is that at any moment in time, I will be what I AM. And you all know that the more correct translation of the original text is: I WILL BE WHO I WILL BE. Yet the consciousness of I AM THAT I AM is valid, because we have given you the model of the upper and the lower and that the lower being needs to come into alignment with the upper. And how do you do that?

You do that by realizing that in the higher part of the figure-eight is the I AM THAT I AM, and in the lower part is your sense of identity, your sense of I AM—I AM this, I AM that. And what you need to do is to come to a point where you can say: “I am THAT I am, up there.” That, however, is not the end of your spiritual growth. It is, rather, the beginning of the true spiritual path, where you realize that there is more to your identity than can be defined in the material realm. So you need to reach beyond the material realm. And indeed, you have something to reach for, you have something to unite with, where your sense of identity down here can become One or identified with the Being up here, so you know “I AM here below all that I AM above, for I am THAT I AM.”

Yet there is a higher level. For as I said earlier, your conscious self is not the I AM in the lower part of the figure-eight, but neither is your conscious self the I AM in the upper part. Your conscious self is a state of pure awareness, that can never be identified with anything in the finite world. And even your I AM Presence is in the finite world. So when you truly attain enlightenment, Christhood, Buddhahood, Oneness with God, whatever you want to call it, well then the “I” of your conscious self stops identifying itself as this or this.

Well, what does it identify itself as? It identifies itself as the All. And this is when you have the symbol of the “s” around the “I”, which symbolizes the figure-eight, where your “I” is in the center, but it really is no longer in the center, for it realizes that the mathematical symbol of infinity drawn as a figure-eight—yes it is has a single point in the centre, but the entire periphery of the figure-eight is made up of single points.

When you realize that a single point has no extension in space, then you can realize that a single point is not really a point. For if there is no extension in finite space, how can you say that here is a single point that is separated from the Infinite? For if it was separate, it had to be in the realm of the finite world and thus it had to have extension in space. So you realize that the single “I” is everything at once. And that is when you will know what Jesus said: “And the king shall say, inasmuch as ye have done it to the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” You will also know what Jesus meant when he said that when your “eye” or your “I” is single, your whole body is full of light.

Loving God with ALL your heart, mind and soul

That is when you can fulfill the requirement that Jesus gave as the absolute requirement for Christhood. For when he was asked by the Scribes and Pharisees about the greatest points of the law he said: “To love god with all your heart, soul and mind.” How can you love God with all your heart, soul and mind? Well, you can only do it when you realize that you ARE God, that there is no longer separation. For if you see a separation between yourself and God, you simply cannot love God with ALL your heart, mind and soul. It is not possible.

So then you have fulfilled the Alpha aspect of the equation of Christhood. But the Omega aspect is to love your neighbor as yourself. But how can you do that, my beloved? Only when you see your neighbor AS yourself, as your greater Self. For if you see a distance between yourself and your neighbor, you are not truly loving your neighbor AS yourself. And you are not truly loving yourself if you are seeing a distance between yourself and the Creator. For only in Oneness with your Creator, will you experience the fullness of God’s love, which is an infinite, unconditional love.

There is always a higher teaching that can be released. And what you will see is that there are always those who will cling to the old, for they have taken the old teaching and put it in a mental box, and now they are comfortable. Well, who is comfortable, my beloved? Only the ego can be comfortable with any mental box in the finite world. For the “I” can never be fully comfortable until it is one with infinity.

You always see that those who want to stay with the old, who want to stay where they are comfortable, are still blinded by their egos no matter what they might think. No matter what clever, intellectual arguments they might come up with, they are still blinded by their egos, for they have not truly been willing to look for the beam in their own eye, even though they have a teaching that talks about the ego and the need to look for it. It is entirely possible to understand that teaching only with the outer intellectual, analytical mind, and therefore take the teaching and turn it into a mental box, that gives the ego a sense of security because it feels it has even the spiritual path under control—even Christhood, it has under control. And that is precisely what you saw Peter attempting to do with Jesus.

Peter recognized that Jesus was beyond a normal person, but he was not willing to follow Jesus and attain Oneness with the Living Christ. He wanted – until the very end – to put the Living Christ in his own mental box. And even though he let the Living Christ expand his mental box that little bit, he would not take that final step of throwing away the mental box by letting the mortal self die and being spiritually reborn—being born of water and of Spirit.

Ascended Master Mother Mary, September 29, 2004 through Kim Michaels.

What happens when you take full dominion over yourself, meaning your soul, mind and body? You reach the point that my beloved Jesus demonstrated on the Mount of Transfiguration, when he became transformed into a being of light in front of his disciples. At that moment, the outer form of Jesus was transfigured into a being of pure spiritual light. This means that any imperfections that Jesus might have taken into his soul were transformed until only the pure, divine matrix of his lifestream was left. It means that any imperfect beliefs or feelings in his mind and subconscious mind were transformed into the perfect vision and feelings of the Christ mind. It means that any imperfections in his body, from genetic defects to toxic chemicals or environmental pollutants, were consumed, and his body outpictured the perfect design of the pure human body—given the current level of vibration of the earth.

This is the potential that all of you have when you walk the path of personal Christhood and take dominion over yourselves. When a critical mass of human beings take this dominion over self, they can consciously use their creative powers to take dominion over the earth. Thereby, they can literally superimpose the perfect vision of Christ upon the passive matter substance that makes up this planet. This can cause the entire planet to be transfigured, so that it can once again be in alignment with the perfect vision of God that is still held in the minds of Elohim.

This can remove all pollution in nature and all pollution in the human body. It can remove all imbalances in the crust of the earth and consume the very cause and core of natural disasters. It can consume all imbalances in the animal kingdom and even the density of matter itself. This can turn the planet into the harmonious and balanced platform for growth that it was designed to be from the beginning.

For this to happen, a critical mass of human beings must decide to be the open doors, so that the light of God, the self-conscious, self-aware light of the Presence of Infinite Light, can stream into their minds and stir up the ocean of the Ma-ter light. When this happens, the unconscious and passive Ma-ter light can indeed be awakened, until matter itself becomes transfigured into pure light substance that is conscious of its own existence and of its ability to consciously outpicture the perfect vision of God and maintain that vision on an ongoing basis.

Thus, I say to you – truly – the process of the ascension is not something that happens in one great leap. It is something that happens in increments, whereby you continue to transcend yourself and become more, until you suddenly take that final leap into the ascended state, the ascended consciousness. And thus, if you believe that you can find a spiritual teaching and that is all you will ever need for your ascension, you are indeed living a lie. You can use a teaching to win your ascension—if you keep going beyond the outer teaching, reading between the lines and allowing your Christ self and your ascended mentors to give you the deeper truths that are not found in the outer teaching because they cannot be expressed in words.

And unless you do this, you will not make your ascension, no matter how many decrees or prayers or rosaries you give, and no matter whether you can recite this or that Scripture by heart. It will not happen that way. It will happen only when you are willing to give up the ghost of your former self, your former sense of self.

And the most difficult thing for people to give up is precisely when they have been on the spiritual path for many years and somehow feel that they belong to an elite of the most spiritual people on earth. This is what you saw in the Scribes and Pharisees who rejected the Living Christ when Jesus stood before them. And my beloved, contemplate Jesus’ parable about the rich man (Matthew19:20) who came to him, and when Jesus explained what it took to be saved he said, “But all these things I have done from my youth, what do I lack yet?” And Jesus said, “Go sell all that thou hast and give to the poor, and then come and follow me.”

And this does not just mean that you have to sell your physical possessions. It is a symbol for the fact that in order to step onto the inner path, the true path, you have to be willing to give up the possessions you think you have from following the outer path. And then, when you are on the inner path, that surrender becomes a perpetual surrender, whereby you know as Paul, “I die daily” (1Corinthians 15:31). Meaning, that part of my mortal self dies every day because I daily surrender it and give up that ghost, letting the former sense of self die so that I can be reborn of the Spirit (John 3:5) into a new sense of self.

Truly, we have given many profound teachings through various organizations. But they will do nothing for you unless you internalize them and become one with the teaching—and then go beyond and become one with the teacher. And then take the further step, that after you become one with the teacher, you become the teacher who ministers to those on earth who have not yet discovered the inner path. And thereby, the circle is complete, the figure-eight flow between heaven and earth is complete. Because the higher part of your own Being, the ascended masters – the ascended master that is the higher part of your Being – can now be in embodiment on earth through you.

This is the ultimate goal of a true spiritual teaching. This is the ultimate goal of the spiritual path. And to help you lock yourself on that path, I have brought forth my new book. If you feel that you have not yet discovered the true inner path, then devour this book. Absorb it. Do not simply read it with your intellect. But absorb it, and let it transform you. Let it transform your view of yourself, your view of the spiritual path, your view of the ascended masters and your view of God—until you can give up that ghost because you realize that you will lose nothing by giving up that limited mortal sense of self. You will instead gain your immortal self that you truly are. Yet how difficult it is to give up that mortal self as long as you do not have a sense of wholeness that comes from knowing and experiencing your higher being.

And therefore, you cannot give up every aspect of your mortal self at once. It must be a gradual path, which is indeed why we talk about the path. Yet as I explain in the book, there comes a point where even the concept of a spiritual path becomes obsolete, and you must then take the very next step beyond the path. And that step is explained in my book. And I will tease you by not giving it to you now, for you need to read it step by step, for each key in my book builds up to the next key, so that you are prepared before you find the most difficult truths, the truths that are most difficult to accept.

Thus, I seal you now in my infinite love. And I ask you to go through an exercise of reading aloud – one person at a time, one verse at a time – the Miracle Nurturance Rosary. For you will find in it truths so profound that literally one could write an entire book based on that rosary, which is in a sense what I have done in my new book. Yet there is even more in the book than the Nurturance Rosary. Yet could you internalize everything in that Nurturance Rosary, truly you would have the abundant life. And therefore, I seal you in my flame of perfect, unconditional nurturance. It is sealed.

Jesus demonstrated not only the path to personal Christhood, he also demonstrated the ultimate outcome of this path, namely that we can permanently ascend and become immortal being sin the spiritual realm.

Again, because Jesus was elevated to being an exception, Christianity has failed to give people the understanding that the ascension is a goal towards we can all aspire. Let go of the glamorous images of the ascension

• Give up glamorous images of what it means to ascend.

• Daily accelerate your sense of self by doing what we might call the “nitty-gritty,” the not-so-glamorous tasks that are part of the ascension spiral.
• If you are too focused on the advanced stages of the ascension, you will see no connection between those advanced initiations and your daily life.
• Your personal ascension spiral begins when you consciously decide that you will approach everything you encounter in your daily life as an opportunity to rise one step higher towards your ascension.

• In the ascension process there is no possibility of hiding anything.
• In order to enter the ascension spiral, you must begin to question your perception.
• The goal of God is to raise up all life.

Do you still want to hide something?

• To consciously enter the ascension spiral you must make the decision that you no longer want to hide anything from the ascended masters.
• It requires a certain level of self-esteem before you can look at any impurities within yourself without going into the negative spiral of condemning yourself.
• The ascension coil is about transcending conditions, transcending impurities.
• You are pure consciousness. Nothing on earth can stick to you, nothing can color you.
• You stop judging other people and yourself.

How to lock in to the ascension spiral

• Whatever stage of consciousness you are at right now, it was your power that created it.
• You have the power to accelerate yourself beyond it.
• You do not need light from outside yourself, for you have that light inside yourself.
• You will never help another person by proving their arguments wrong.

The last stages in the ascension spiral

• At the top of the ascension spiral, you reach the singularity, beyond which you are no longer in the ascension spiral. You are in the ascended state.
• To reach that point will require a 100 percent, one-pointed effort.
• You are not concerned about others. You are concerned only with passing those last initiations in the Temple of the Ascension.

Ascended Master El Morya, October 21, 2006 through Kim Michaels.

When you look at the pyramid, the Great Pyramid at Giza, you will see that the King’s Chamber is two-thirds of the height of the pyramid from the base. And the two-thirds mark is the level where the Christ is meant to appear. What I am trying to explain to you here is that a substantial number of people in the New Age movement have come very close to that two-thirds mark.

Yet instead of pushing harder and going above it, where the Christ starts appearing in their being, they have somehow come to believe in a fallacy of the ego, in an illusion of the ego. And they have stood still, they have stagnated. And they are standing there and they are spinning their wheels. And some of them are moving hard and working hard, but they are getting nowhere, for they are not willing to raise their vision to see what will it take to come over that hump and enter into the light of Christ. And the reason they have not done this is that there is some illusion of the ego that they are still attached to, that they are not willing to question, that they are not willing to look in the mirror and see, “Oh, I have this problem. I am the one that needs to overcome it.”

So it is essential for a spiritual seeker to realize that as long as you are in embodiment here on earth, there is no such thing as an ultimate level of growth. There can never be a point where you can allow yourself to think that you have done enough, that you have obtained enough, that you have reached some ultimate level of mastery.

Throughout the ages there have been any number of people who have reached a certain level of mastery, but if they have then set themselves up as masters and allowed themselves to be worshipped by their followers as someone who has reached some ultimate state of mastery – and has no more need to grow – then they have not only misled themselves but they have also misled their followers.

Why do you think Jesus stayed with his disciples for only three years? Because he did not want them to fall into that trap and because he realized that he himself had more initiations to go through. And that is why he needed to go through the crucifixion, the death on the cross and the spiritual resurrection. You see, Jesus had reached a high level of attainment before his crucifixion. He could perform many miracles. He was only in his thirties, and he could have remained in Israel for decades, showing great signs and wonders and gradually attracting more and more people.

Yet had he done so, he would not have gone beyond the level of attainment he had reached. And therefore, he would not himself have passed the initiations that he needed to pass in order to fully demonstrate the timeless path to personal Christhood. And what were the final stages of that path? It was that Jesus came to the realization that he was one with the Father and that is why he said, “I and my Father are one.” And yet he also realized that he was one with all life, which is why he said, “Inasmuch as yea have done it unto the least of these my brethren, yea have done it unto me.”

Vertical and horizontal oneness

So you see, my beloved, Jesus demonstrated the vertical oneness with God above and the horizontal oneness with all of God’s co-creators here below. The very basis for establishing the City Foursquare is that each person who is on the path to Christhood establish their inner oneness with their I AM Presence, so that their God flame can shine through their four lower bodies without being obstructed by imperfect images and beliefs or misqualified energies. Yet when you do reach that level of attainment, you need to now realize that it is not the purpose of God to raise you up in order to put you on a pedestal to make you seem better than others.

It is God’s purpose that by you being raised up, you should serve as the instrument for raising up all life. As Jesus clearly said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” Thus, God does not simply want to establish the City Foursquare in your personal being. God wants to establish the City Foursquare on the entire planet. This requires that the four lower bodies of Mother earth be purified and brought into alignment with the divine blueprint for this planet. The blueprint is stored in the spiritual realm and is ready to be lowered into the material realm when a sufficient number of people on earth establish the City Foursquare on an individual level.

This, my beloved hearts, is why we have talked about oneness. For truly, God has the power to force the matrix for the City Foursquare upon this planet and instantly squeeze out anything that is contrary to that matrix. Yet that would not be in alignment with God’s own Law of Free Will. And thus, the City Foursquare can be manifest on this planet only through the free-will choices of people in embodiment. And yet it is not enough that people raise up their own consciousness and establish the City Foursquare in their own beings.

In other words, even if we had ten thousand people who had manifested their individual Christhood walking around on this planet, this would not automatically bring the City Foursquare into physical manifestation. For it is not enough that these people walk around in their Christhood, being separated from each other. What is needed is that a great number of them come together and recognize, on the conscious level, who they are and that they are all part of that same Body of Christ, that same Body of God on earth. And thus, they voluntarily align themselves in the one-pointedness of knowing that they are the forerunners for the Golden Age of Aquarius that will bring, as its highest potential, the City Foursquare into manifestation.

My Beloved, unless vertical oneness with God becomes horizontal oneness with all life, the City Foursquare will not be manifest on this planet. And thus, you see the trap into which so many sincere spiritual seekers have fallen. They have been trapped into pursuing their individual path without taking that next step and sincerely striving for oneness with others who have reached that same level of attainment.

Now I want to make it clear that it is fully possible to ascend for a person who has reached the higher stages of Christhood and is engaged in helping the world. Your Guru Ma was an example of a person who had reached the higher stages of Christhood and who was indeed very active in running a spiritual organization, bringing forth teachings and addressing many of the problems in the world. Yet, you will also see, as she said herself, that it took her some years after her physical body was no longer functioning at its normal level before she was ready to ascend. This was because she desired to keep the body temple until she had reached a degree of Buddhahood.

Some who knew her might have noticed that this actually started to some degree after the period that many people called the “Shelter Cycle.” Up until then, she had been very concerned about her public image and reputation. This was natural for she wanted to do the best possible job as a messenger for the ascended masters. Thus, she, in a sense, resisted some of the final initiations of Christhood that lead to Buddhahood. What are some of these initiations?

Well, it is that you must be willing to go through the process that Jesus demonstrated with his public trial, persecution, and crucifixion. Of course, you do not need to go through a physical crucifixion in this day and age, although some people have indeed been tortured or killed, or abused in other physical ways. But for most of you, it will be enough to go through a period where you allow other people to do with you or to do with your reputation anything they please.

Your Guru Ma went through this after the shelter cycle and some might have noticed that after that, there was a shift. She would seem more peaceful, more resigned as if accepting that her public reputation had been damaged beyond repair so why worry about it anymore? Why be concerned? Why not simply focus on walking the path of overcoming your attachments? This then is a process that you must all go through in various ways. Not that you all need to be in the public eye, but you might go through it with friends or family members who persecute you and ridicule you for your spiritual beliefs.

Are there any of you who have not experienced this, my beloved? Hardly a one. You see, this is an initiation that all face, and the more that it is in your divine plan to have a public mission, the more publicly you must face this initiation. You must allow those who, for whatever reasons of unresolved psychology, are so willing to play the role of persecuting and accusing and judging others. You must come to a point where you can look at whatever they do and you do not seek to fight or combat them, you do not seek to defend yourself, you look at your own reaction, and say: “What does it say about my psychology that I have a reaction to these people? Then let me look at myself, let me look at my attachments, and let me let them go. For then I will be free. It is not my job to set free the people who persecute me and who are so blinded that they will not listen neither to me nor to the ascended masters, nor to anyone else, for they think they know best. They think they know better than the ascended masters, what the ascended masters would say.”

Be non-attached to this. Focus within, focus on overcoming your own attachments and unresolved psychology. Then come to the point where the prince of this world comes and has nothing in you. The demons of Mara parade their stuff before you and you can look at it and say: “So what? So what if you do this? So what if you say that?” You come to the point where you realize that the demons of Mara can only work in the material realm. And what power does the material have over Spirit? Thus, if you are Spirit why do you need to react to this?

Acting from a state of not reacting

There are many people in the New Age spiritual movement who have an intuitive sense that it is your goal to be non-attached and to not react. But you do not avoid reacting through denial, through pushing your reaction into the subconscious mind so that it is no longer conscious. You can come to the point of not reacting only by first going through the lower stages of Christhood where you do react and then going through the higher stages of Christhood where you not only react, but act.

Then, you can come to the point where you start to work on your reactions until you no longer react to the world, and then you can begin to act in the world. You may say: “Did Gautama act in the world after he attained Buddhahood?” Well, yes, he did. He went out and started a teaching mission, which was his particular divine plan. Your divine plan may be different. Your divine plan may be to go out and actively seek to bring change in a particular area of society. Yet I tell you that if you want to have the maximum impact, you need to go through the process I have outlined. Then, when you no longer react, you can take the most efficient actions.

I tell you this because there are a certain number of ascended master students in Russia who are ready to acknowledge this path and therefore make faster progress on it by being conscious of the process and its stages and requirements. These are the ones who have the potential to have the greatest impact on this nation. It is always so that it is the few that raise up a nation.

The closer you are to the higher stages of Christhood and the first stages of Buddhahood, the more of an impact you will have and the fewer people it takes to shift an entire nation. Even a nation the size of Russia and with a history like Russia’s can be shifted by only a few hundred people walking the process I have described. So I told you earlier today to step up from the stage where you invoke the Violet Flame but instead focus on the Freedom Flame and begin to embody it. And I have now given you a deeper key to how you embody the Flame of Freedom.

You may think that the Buddha is peace, but you see, peace is the Sixth Ray and the Seventh is Freedom. When you have attained peace, meaning that you do not react to anything in the world, that is when you have attained the ultimate freedom to act in the world. To act from the higher perspective rather than from your reaction to what is already happening in the world. Thus, you can be the open door for bringing forth something entirely new that is not a reaction to the imperfect conditions in the world.

Christhood is where you react to the conditions in the world, you address them, you expose them, you demonstrate how to transcend them, how to improve conditions. This is very beneficial but there is that higher level of having completely mastered your reaction so that you are not blind to what is happening in the world. You can bring forth something that is not a reaction to a specific imperfect condition, but that brings in an entirely new idea, an entirely new element that takes society to a higher level.

The Buddha I AM. Saint Germain I AM. The Buddha Saint Germain I AM.

You may not associate my normal vivacious demeanor with the image of the Buddha sitting in silent meditation. Yet, I have attained Buddhahood and I have attained Buddhahood the same way Gautama did, by embodying my flame. His flame happens to be Peace, mine is Freedom. Thus, even in my normal demeanor where I am quick and busy, I am still the Buddha.

Why the masters give a realistic message

I know, as all of us know, that the messages we have given you during this conference about Russia can be difficult to face, to hear, to accept, to absorb. It may seem as if there are so many problems and so much darkness that there is not much hope for the future. It may seem so if you are the kind of person who focuses on lack, on the glass of life being half-empty rather than half-full. Of course, as has been pointed out, one of the effects of the history of Russia is that many souls who have embodied here for many lifetimes, have come to focus on the glass of life being half-empty.

Thus, one might think that it would be better for the ascended masters to focus on giving a positive message so that the spiritual people could get into a positive state of mind and focus on the glass of life being half-full. This is indeed what many people in the New Age spiritual community believe: that you should focus only on the positive, for if you give the negatives attention, you magnify them. There are many people who are open to the spiritual side of life, who have come across our dictations given through this messenger or others, who have reasoned that we could not be true spiritual teachers when we focus so much on the problems.

How to attain Christhood

Yet, let me give you a discourse on what it takes to attain Buddhahood. It is very simple. The doorway to Buddhahood is Christhood. You cannot work on your Buddhahood until you have attained a high degree of Christhood. How then do you attain Christhood? Well, as we have explained through our recent books, there is a stage of the spiritual path, where you are growing between the 48th and the 96th level of consciousness, where you follow the path outlined by the Seven Chohans. This is a stage where you are meant to embody the light of the Seven Rays, learn to use the light of the Seven Rays, become aware of your co-creative abilities, and attain the freedom to express them according to your own divine individuality and your own decisions.

Yet, this is not Christhood. It is Creative Freedom, but it is not Christhood. What, then, will it take to work on Christhood? Well, it will take what Jesus demonstrated: that you do not withdraw from life and society. You do not sit in a cave in the Himalayas and meditate all day. You go out among other people and you look at what is happening in the world. You see what is happening and you feel what Jesus felt many times, only a few of which are recorded in the scriptures. You go through the feelings. You acknowledge the problems. You might feel a certain form of anger. You might feel compassion for the people. You might feel a desire to change things, to do something to make a difference. Many of you, who have been on the path for some time, can recognize this in your own lives where you were moved by some desire to make a difference.

It is not necessary or required at this stage that you have no human emotions. Even Jesus, occasionally, displayed human emotions. It is recorded in the scriptures in a few instances, but there were many more in real life, as there was for all of us. You do not actually manifest Christhood by denying your emotions, by stifling them, by rejecting them, by holding them back. When you see the horrendous abuses that take place in the world, you should feel a certain sense of what is anger in the beginning, but what can then be transformed into righteous indignation. You should feel compassion for the people. You should feel a desire to set the people free from the suffering that you acknowledge they are going through. This is the lower stage of Christhood.

Do you see that you cannot even begin this stage if you bury your head in the sand and think you only have to focus on the positive, and have to ignore or deny anything negative? You have not even begun Christhood if you are not willing to look realistically at what is happening in the world, what is burdening the people, and, as we have explained, what is lacking and what could be done better.

There are many people in Russia who have embodied here precisely because they want to raise this nation beyond these lower manifestations. What they are also doing is that they have taken a vow to walk the path of Christhood in this lifetime. Many of them, of course, do not understand what the path of Christhood is about and they have rejected the Christian Church, for they know it does not represent Christ. Some have even rejected all religion, but are still walking the path of Christhood in the sense that they are looking at what is going on and how it can be changed.

Thus, I am telling you that when you look at the releases we have given during this conference, you will see that what we have addressed during this conference is precisely the beginning stage of the Path of Christhood where you openly and honestly and in a straightforward manner, acknowledge the problems, acknowledge what is lacking. We have done this because we know that a critical mass of spiritual people are ready for this approach and this message. Nevertheless, while it is necessary in the beginning stages of Christhood to recognize the issues, it is, of course, not our desire that you should stay at the beginning stages of Christhood. It is especially not our desire, that you should get stuck in a closed loop of being so focused on the problems you see in the world that you actually neglect the task of raising your own consciousness.

How to attain Buddhahood

There are a considerable number of ascended master students who have become so focused on the splinter in the eye of the world, or in the eyes of their brothers, that they have refused to deal with the beam in their own eye. This can actually lead students to go into a negative spiral that can cause them to fall below the 48th level of consciousness. Thus, what we have also done during this conference is we have given you the pointers of how you go beyond the beginning stage of Christhood, reach the higher stages of Christhood, which then makes it possible for you to go beyond and start working on Buddhahood.

I can assure you that there is not one among you who can absorb and even understand everything we have put in these dictations by listening to them or reading them once. There are so many pointers here, and do not think that they only apply to students in Russia for is there any part of the world that has not seen atrocities? All students can benefit from truly pondering and looking for the very subtle pointers that point you to the higher levels of Christhood and beyond. At the higher levels of Christhood you realize that you have acknowledged the imperfect conditions in the world, you have acknowledged your desire to change them, but now you face the crucial test. Will you attempt to change the conditions in the world through your own power? Or will you step up to the higher levels of Christhood where you acknowledge what Jesus said: “I can, of my own self, do nothing. The Father within me, He doeth the work.”

How will you get to this stage? You will get to it when you acknowledge the problems in the world, acknowledge your desire to make a difference and acknowledge that you cannot make a difference no matter what you do with the outer mind. Thus, you must step up to a higher level and how do you do this? By going through a period where you no longer focus on the problems in the world, but you focus on your own reaction to those problems.

Then you use your own reaction to dig deeper into your psychology and uncover the attachments, the feelings, the illusions behind your reaction. This, most of you are capable of doing. Many of you have already done it, some for many years. I am simply making you consciously aware of what you have done so that you can complete the process faster through your conscious awareness.

Buddhahood, then, requires you to attain mastery over your reactions to anything that happens in the world. At the higher levels of Christhood, you go through a period where you are very active in either doing spiritual work or engaged in seeking to do something about the conditions in the world and society. You are serving life, you are helping other people, you are seeking to raise awareness, seeking to make actual changes. This is Christhood; it is a period that you go through. For some it may be the rest of this lifetime. For others this may be decades. For some it might be only years. It is all individual. Yet, what I wish to do in this discourse, is to hint at what comes after. For there actually comes a point where you have the opportunity to step up to the Path of Buddhahood.

Ascended Master Jesus, March 30, 2013 through Kim Michaels.

This is a parallel to what all of you experience when you are in physical embodiment and when you begin to approach your Christhood. It will not, of course, take the same physical form where you will also be nailed to a cross made of wood. It will take some form or other, perhaps not even physical. Perhaps you will be persecuted and crucified in the emotional realm, the mental realm or the identity realm.

There will be some persecution even in the physical. It is simply part of the deal, my beloved, when you volunteer to embody on earth. It has always been so since the fall of this planet and the first fallen beings embodying here for they will attack those who are the Holy Innocents. They will attack those who are the lightbringers, those who dare let their light so shine before men, those who will not hide it beneath the conditions defined by the fallen beings.

These fallen beings form a force on this earth, and in their blindness – their spiritual blindness – they have such spiritual pride and arrogance that they believe they control life. They believe that they can shut out the Christ and the Christ light from this planet. I came 2,000 years ago to prove them wrong, and I did prove them wrong for there was a group of fallen beings that was taken out of embodiment back then, and they will never again embody here.

A monumental shift in consciousness

You may look at Christianity as it has unfolded over the past 2,000 years and you may see that it has not produced millions of people with the same level of Christ consciousness. You may think that even though the fallen beings could not kill me by killing my body, they have still killed my example, they have killed the Church, the religion that claims to represent me.

I tell you, it is not so for there are still the 10,000 and the millions more who are ready to manifest Christhood in this embodiment and they are coming ever closer. Some have found the teachings we have given through this and other messengers. Some have known from within or even through a teaching not given directly by the ascended masters.

People are beginning to awaken and realize that we are standing before a monumental shift in consciousness on this planet and that they have a role in it. In order to fulfill that role, they need to transcend that sense of self, they need to transcend themselves, their former limitations and conditions.
