Only when each person knows, that he or she has access to God directly within themselves; only then can there be true freedom and true equality. If the population believe, that they cannot access God directly but must access God through an external mediator of some kind, well, then they will be subject to being dominated by that external mediator. And whatever institution this might be, will inevitably be taken over by those people who lust after power, and who therefore will use that external institution to control the people, as indeed the Roman Catholic Church – from its inception by the Emperor Constantine – was meant as an instrument to control the people.

This must be seen. Someone must cry out, that the Pope has nothing on, and that the institution that he represents was flawed from its inception, was a deviation from the true mission of Christ. Where are those who dare make that cry? You, of course, have the potential to be among them, my beloved. As some of you have already done, at least in your own minds and among friends. But I tell you, there is a need to bring forth this awareness and to challenge not only the Catholic Church – for certainly we are not seeking to single out the Catholic Church – but to challenge the very institutionalized nature of Christianity—be it Protestant or Catholic or Fundamentalist or whatever you want to call it.

Look at the very idea that you are born in sin, and therefore are fundamentally flawed from the very beginning, fundamentally different from Jesus, who had an immaculate conception. I tell you: you all had an immaculate conception in the mind of your spiritual parents, when your lifestream first descended to this earth. Therefore, you can reclaim that birthright and say, “No, I was not born in sin. I do not accept that I am fundamentally different from Christ.” For do you not see, that the principle of equality cannot be completely understood or espoused as long as there is in the consciousness of the people, the concept that one person, even though he walked the earth in a physical body, was fundamentally different from all others?

Right there, you have, in the Christian religion, a concept that undermines the very reality of the mission of Christ and the very reality of the true principle of equality, that all men, all self-aware beings, all co-creators were created equal in the mind of God. Not in the sense that they were created alike, for each one is a unique individual, but in the sense that they are of equal value in the mind of God. Or rather, we should go beyond even the concept of value and comparison and recognize, that each lifestream was created out of the unconditional love, the unconditional mind, of God.

Ascended Master Patrick, May 18, 2007 through Kim Michaels.

In the stillness of nature is where you find your power, in the stillness of the heart. I am Patrick, the Ascended Master Patrick. For in this day and age, I prefer to leave out the “Saint.” For my beloved, as an ascended master, surely you realize that I am not a Catholic. I am here to raise up all life, not only those who belong to a particular religion or race or ethnic or national group.

Even though I won my ascension serving Christ in Ireland, I am not Irish either. For when you ascend, you go beyond all human divisions. For as Mother Mary so beautifully explained earlier today, you ascend by surrendering the human conditions that make you think you are outside the kingdom of God.

This beautiful invocation that you have just given, the Invocation of the River of Life, is one of my favorite invocations. And it is partly because it so beautifully captures the essence of the River of Life that we experience in the ascended state. The ongoingness of the joy of God that is unstoppable, that always flows—no matter what. But I must tell you, also, that this invocation reminds me of a personal experience that I went through after I had been in Ireland for a while.

On a cold, damp, fall day, I had come to feel somewhat discouraged, for I felt that there had not been the expected response to my coming and my preaching, even to some of the so-called miracles that had been performed by God through me and those who also were willing to come up higher with me. So I did, as I so often did, take a walk in the mountains. And I came upon this little brook, much like the one you followed in the ascent up the mountain yesterday. And I sat down and I quite frankly put my head on my knees and shed a tear in despair. And for some time I was going over in my mind what I felt was my personal woes. For I too could sometimes become melancholic or – as the modern saying goes – depressed.

Fortunately, there was no psychiatrist standing next to me ready to offer me a get-happy-quick pill. So after some time of feeling sorry for myself, my attention was suddenly called to the gentle babbling of the stream. I raised my head and I looked up and I saw this miniature waterfall passing over a small rock. And suddenly my eyes zoomed in, and I saw how that rock had been worn soft and smooth by the passage of the water during the passage of time.

And suddenly, I realized that even if I did not see visible results in my lifetime in this land, then surely my efforts were not in vain. For I would plant a seed, and as that seed would grow, it would be like the flowing stream where even the soft water could wear away the hardened rock. And in an instant my depression, my self-pity, was flowing downstream with the water. And my spirits were lifted. For I realized that that water had to come from somewhere. It had to come from the top of the mountain. And beyond that top, it had to come from the rain that descended from the heavens. I felt reconnected to the River of Life. And I felt that river flowing inside of me and I was greatly comforted and energized. And I leapt to my feet and I walked back to our humble mission, and I was a transformed person, for surely my compatriots had noticed my somewhat gloomy demeanor, as I pushed aside an uneaten dinner and walked up in the hills without saying a word.

How they destroyed the Church of Ireland

I give you this image to inspire you. But also to give you a realistic assessment of what it was like to be Patrick. For when you look back at my life today – after 1,500 years of idolatry and idolizing – you do not see the real Patrick—for how could you? You see the Saint Patrick that the Catholic Church – especially the Catholic Church of Ireland – has wanted to pass down to you. They do not want you to know the real person as I was back then or as I am today as the ascended master.

They want you to accept their graven image, for their graven image is carefully crafted to give you the impression that I was so special and so far above you, that you could not possibly walk in my footsteps and make a difference for an entire country. They do not want you to realize that if you are willing to let God in you flow, to let your light shine, then God in you can make a difference for your country. If just one person is willing to be God in action, to realize the truth in Christ’s words that, “I of my own self can do nothing, it is the Father within me. He doeth the work.”

One person, God through that one person, can plant a seed, can start a new movement that will gradually grow and change an entire nation and the mindset of an entire nation. Yet I must tell you that unless more people pick up and create a movement that is sustainable, well then the change will not last.

For surely, if you look at the history of my life and the history of Ireland, you will see, that yes Ireland was changed by my presence, Ireland became a Christian nation, but surely you will see – given the open-minded people that you are – that after just a century or so, Ireland started going the way of the rest of Europe. Where the Catholic Church became increasingly rigid and focused on outer doctrines and rituals, and started burning as heretics anyone who dared to speak the Living Word of God.

For my beloved, I can assure you that I did not convert the closed-minded people of Ireland by speaking the dead word and reading from a scripture. I spoke the Living Word, for I let the River of Life flow through me, so that that river could speak what the people at that time needed to hear. What happened was that those who were in the serpentine consciousness, those who opposed me openly as the Kings and the Druids and their priests, they reincarnated as the Catholic priests and Bishops who then took power in the Church in Ireland and then quickly followed along with those in the Catholic Church throughout Europe, who shut down the Living Word and shut down those who dared to speak or write the Living Word as did so many, even some of the early Church fathers, such as Origen.

You can see this if you care to look at history, how what they were after was to shut down the Living Word, so that all that could be preached from the Catholic pulpits was the controlled Word, the dead word, that would not ignite the heart flame of the people so that they would wake up and become the Christ in action—after those that had inspired them by demonstrating Christhood.

Ascended Master Mother Mary, April 2, 2005 through Kim Michaels.

And thus I come to give you a loving but realistic assessment of the papacy of John Paul II. Let there be no doubt that this pope is deeply loved by me. Yet let there be no doubt that he is no more loved than any one of you. Let there be no doubt that Pope Paul II was a pope with a great love for the Church and a great love for the mission of Christ, as he understood that mission. This pope was truly a more spiritual, a more mystical pope than many you have seen throughout the centuries. He was far less concerned about the politics and the power plays of the outer religion than he was concerned with the spirit of the Christian religion.

Yet, that being said, I must tell you with true realism that this pope found it difficult to transfer his mystical longing to the outer Church. He was not able, he was not willing, to take the daring step of transforming the Church according to his inner vision. The pope had many good reasons for thinking that the Church could not, or was not yet ready, to be transformed. Yet I must tell you that these reasons did not spring from the Christ mind but sprang from the collective consciousness of Catholics, a consciousness that has been built and reinforced for almost 2,000 years.

This consciousness deeply affected the pope throughout his life, and it affected him to such a degree that he was not able to look beyond it. And thus, you will see that in many ways this pope attempted to carry on a tradition that many Catholics have realized had become outdated before he even took office. And I must tell you that the outer life of this pope, and especially his illness over these past months, was an illustration of, an expression of, the state of the Catholic Church as a whole. What you see here is a pope who was greatly loved by many Catholics, and he was loved because he was an honorable pope, an honorable person. And thus, in a way, he came to represent the good in the Catholic Church, the potential of the Catholic Church.

And that is why many people did not want to see him go. And in a way this was why he was not willing to go, why he was not willing to give up his office, even when it became obvious to everyone that he was no longer physically or mentally able to fulfill that office. He hung on to his position to the very end, which symbolizes that so many Catholics are holding on to the old ways, the old traditions, to the very end. And what you saw in the life of the pope is that he was not willing to change but that he kept sticking to the old ways, until he passed from the screen of life into the illusion that people call death. The question is, “Will the Church continue to hold on to the old ways until it dies, or will it be willing to be reborn in the Spirit, so that it can become new in Christ, so that it can become a new Church in Christ?”

Ascended Master Mother Mary, April 2, 2005 through Kim Michaels.

You see, planet earth has turned a corner. Time and spiritual cycles have moved on, and if you will be honest with yourself, you will know, somewhere deep in your being, that time has moved on, that cycles have changed, that things cannot remain the same—not even in the Catholic Church.

You should know that I, Mary, would like to see this Church change with the times and become a living, vibrant Church that can meet the spiritual needs of many seekers in this age. Yet the Church cannot and will not change unless a critical mass of Catholics decide that they will no longer remain blindly loyal to the outer Church and the outer doctrines. Instead, they will raise their loyalty to a higher level, and they will seek the truth of Christ and be loyal to that truth and that truth only.

And this then is the movement that must come from below, because if you are willing to look at history, you will see that revolutionary change has rarely, if ever, been brought from above. It has only come about through a pressure from below that eventually made those in leadership positions realize that they either had to change or lose their positions.

And thus, you will see that even the Catholic Church has a hierarchy that is dedicated to the preservation of the outer Church and their own positions in that Church. They are truly in the same position as those in the Jewish religion who felt threatened by Jesus, when he brought a truth that was higher than the outer doctrine of the old religion. And thus, the question is simple. You know from the scriptures that 2,000 years ago the leaders of the Jewish religion chose to kill the living Christ rather than to accept him as the Savior and the Messiah. The question today is whether the leadership of the Catholic Church will be willing to accept the living Christ or whether they will attempt to kill him and his true teachings given in this age.

And that living Christ is not only the Christ of Jesus speaking through the same messenger that I am using to bring this message. It is truly the living Christ within many people around the world, including many people who are working within the Catholic Church and who are seeking to reform it because they know it must either be reformed or it will die.

Ascended Master Mother Mary, April 2, 2005 through Kim Michaels.

I am indeed Mary, your Mother, and I come on the eve of the pope’s passing. Yet I come at 11:00 at night [Eastern standard time] to symbolize that this is indeed the 11th hour for the Catholic Church. It is the hour, when this Church must make a choice to either go up or down, because it can no longer remain lukewarm to the reality of Christ.

I am aware that many Catholics around the world are in mourning over the passing of their beloved pope. My Mother’s heart would reach out to these many people and comfort them in this dark hour, this hour of fear, uncertainty, grief and sorrow. Yet you must understand that the compassion I feel as an ascended being is not human compassion, is not human sympathy. I am not here to console without helping people to change.

I am here to provide divine compassion, which is aimed at raising people above the state of consciousness in which they feel sorrow. And thus I come to quicken, I come to awaken those who have ears to hear, those who are willing to hear the true message of what the Mother of God wants to say about the Catholic Church, wants to say to Catholics in this dark hour, this crucial hour that will be a turning point for the Catholic Church.

And whether it be a turning point for good or a turning point for darkness remains to be seen. And the outcome will be determined not by who is elected pope, not by one person or even a group of cardinals in Rome; it will be determined by a critical mass of Catholics around the world and what they choose to do based on the opportunity presented to them at this time.

Many Catholics are closed to the truth

I come to give you a small sense of co-measurement of the difficulty I face, and that other members of the ascended masters face, when we seek to enlighten humankind. I would like you to take a little journey with me in your imagination. I would like you to imagine that you are up here in heaven, looking down upon earth and considering the state of consciousness of most Catholics around the world.

Most Catholics today realize, at some level of their beings, that times have changed, that society has changed. And in many ways, the times have run away from many of the customs, the traditions and the beliefs in the Church which they consider to be the true Church of Christ. Many of these Catholics have grown up with questions about God and about Christ that were never answered by official doctrines. Some have sought answers elsewhere, while some have simply stopped asking the questions. Many feel a sense of loyalty to the outer Church and feel that in order to remain loyal to the Church, they should close their minds to any considerations that cannot be explained by doctrine. It is as if these people feel that being loyal to the outer doctrine is more important than knowing the inner truth.

Yet if you would look at the example set by my beloved Jesus, you would see a person who had committed his entire life to the truth and who was not willing to compromise the truth in order to please human beings or please his own outer consciousness and ego. And this is the example that you should follow, so that you will not let your own ego or any human being or institution stand between you and the discovery of the truth, the truth of Christ that will make you free from all human limitations and shackles.

The question that is faced by most Catholics today is the same question that has been faced by human beings throughout the ages, “Do you want the truth or do you want to remain in the state of illusion, confusion and darkness?” This is the question that Jesus asked – spoken and unspoken – of every person he met 2,000 years ago. They were all faced with the necessity to either accept the truth embodied by Jesus or to reject that truth.

Being open to ideas beyond doctrine

The question remains today, “Will you accept the truth of Christ, or will you reject that truth?” I ask you to consider that I, Mary, have been working in various ways with Catholics for a very long time. You have seen apparitions, you have heard messages, you have seen tears flowing from statues, and you have seen various forms of miracles performed by the sun. Yet I would like you to consider why I have appeared in such ways and why I have often given messages that are very simple, almost to the point of being simplistic.

The reason for this is that so many Catholics have closed their minds to anything beyond the official doctrine of the outer Church. And therefore, you might consider how I, Mary, could possibly awaken people. How could I possibly awaken Catholics to the truth that would make them free? And the sad fact is that I have very limited options for awakening Catholics, because many of them are afraid to find a truth that might be beyond the outer doctrine. Their first and foremost concern is not to know the truth that will make them free. Their first and foremost concern is that any idea they come across must conform to the outer doctrine of the outer Church.

And thus, how could I possibly appear in a way that did not conform to the standards set by the outer Church? And how could I possibly say anything in one of these apparitions, that are approved by the Church, if what I said did not conform to the doctrine of the Church? You see, I am a spiritual being and I know the truth of Christ and the reality of God. I have a great longing to impart that truth and reality to all who revere me, be they Catholic or not. Yet how could I pass on that truth if all you want to hear is what conforms to an outer doctrine, especially if that doctrine is not completely aligned with the truth?

What has happened over these past 2,000 years is that the Christian religion has been turned into a very powerful instrument for pacifying those who are the true warriors of the spirit that my Son Jesus came to awaken 2,000 years ago. Back then, many of these warriors, many of these lifestreams, were not quite ready to be awakened. Yet if all had gone according to plan, they would have been awakened a few centuries after my Son’s coming. But precisely because the false teachers managed to distort the inner teachings of Christ, that awakening did not take place.

And therefore, over these 2,000 years, Christianity has been turned into a religion that pacifies people and turns them into sheep, sheep that are being blindly herded into the folds that are built by the blind teachers themselves. This is a travesty! This then is indeed the tragedy of the past 2,000 years. It is a heavy burden on my heart, and I can tell you that this is the reason why so many of the statues of me around the world are shedding tears, even tears of blood. Oh so many Catholics have been stirred by these tears, yet they do not understand the message behind the tears. They think that I cry because so many people have left the Catholic Church. Nay, my statutes shed tears precisely because the Catholic Church has left my Son and his true teachings.

In fact, when truth be told, I am encouraged that so many people have left the Church, because this shows that they have not been completely pacified, that they still have an inner, intuitive sense that something is missing, something is wrong with the teachings presented by the Catholic Church. And that is why they leave the Church and look for the true teachings of Christ.

Oh yes, I know that this will shock many Catholics who will immediately reject my words, but it is true. The Catholic Church today is not a worthy representative of my Son Jesus Christ. And therefore I would rather see people leave the Church and search for the true teachings of Jesus Christ than I would see them continue to sit in their churches Sunday after Sunday. They sit there as if they were blind and dumb and had no ability to think for themselves and realize just how many Catholic doctrines simply do not make sense and cannot answer their questions, their reasonable questions about what Jesus really meant and what his mission really means for this planet.

Overturning the tables of the moneychangers

Do you not see, that the very essence of Jesus’ message was the acceptance that you are—and I mean every human being—a son or daughter of God? By consciously claiming your sonship or daughtership, you can act as an emissary of God, an extension of God. You can act as the ultimate spiritual warrior to overturn the tables of the moneychangers who have turned my Father’s house into a den of thieves, and who are stealing the souls of my sons and daughters.

Do you not see that this has been going on for thousands of years, and that my Son Jesus came to turn the tide and to overturn their tables and to give the people on this planet a tool for escaping this mental, emotional and spiritual tyranny that has enslaved them now for so many thousands of years that most Christians would not even believe it? So can you not see the immense tragedy that the very Church, that was meant to be a tool for the liberation of your lifestreams, has now been turned into one of the most efficient tools for the enslavement of your souls that has been seen on this planet for thousands of years?

Is your soul in peril?

I must tell you openly and frankly, that if you cannot see this tragedy, then your soul is in peril. Your soul is in jeopardy. Your soul is in danger of hell fire. You are like a drowning man who is grasping for straws but cannot see the ladder that is extended towards him by my Son Jesus Christ. You are grabbling for the straw of the false teachings that are offered you by the orthodox churches. And yet you do not see the ladder of my Son’s inner teachings that have been offered to you now for these 2,000 years, and are still available for those who are willing to read between the lines, to go within their hearts and to use their intuition.

If you cannot see the grave tragedy represented by the falsehood and the hypocrisy presented by modern Christianity, then you need to wake up, and you need to wake up NOW! I must tell you that the spiritual cycle that I am initiating today is a cycle of judgment of these false teachers, these false preachers in Church and state, but especially in orthodox Christianity. Their day is done. Their day is up, and I must tell you that if you do not swiftly extricate yourself from them, you are in danger of being pulled down by their sinking ships. You are in danger of having your faith in God and in my Son Jesus Christ being destroyed. This can happen when you see the exposure of the hypocrisy, the corruption and the falsehood of these false leaders who are truly like whitened sepulchers, full of dead men’s bones.

The hour is late

Oh my beloved sons and daughters, I speak to you sternly because you have need of a stern talking to in this hour. I must tell you that the hour is late. I must tell you that the hour is coming where there is no turning back and where the things must come to pass that my Son Jesus prophesied, when he said that if men should hold their peace and refuse to defend the Christ, then the very stones would cry out.

I must tell you that the time is fast approaching when humankind, a critical mass of human beings, must rise up in defense of the Christ within themselves and each other. And if human beings will not affirm the Christ in themselves, then the stones must cry out, meaning that physical matter itself, the physical planet itself, will rise up and cry out in defense of the Christ.

Do you not see that you were meant to be spiritual warriors who could overturn the tables of the moneychangers in both Church and state? If you do not rise up and pursue the path of personal Christhood, whereby you can become those spiritual warriors in action, then I can tell you that Mother earth herself, the Mother earth who is just an extension of my own body and blood, will rise. If you do not rise up and overturn the tables of the moneychangers, Mother earth herself will overturn those tables, and you will see this in the form of natural disasters.

I have appeared many times over this past century, and I have appeared mainly to people who were from a Catholic background. This was because I hoped that the Catholic Church could be restored and become an instrument of the restoration of the true inner message of my Son Jesus Christ.

I must tell you that so far the Church has shown no openness and no willingness to go back and look at the past, to open the Pandora’s box of the past doings of the Catholic Church. Even though the consciousness of humankind has risen to a much higher level than it was 2,000 years ago, the current leaders of the Catholic Church are too rigid and too proud to air the dirty laundry of this organization, to open up the archives of the Vatican and to bring back the true teachings of my Son.

I must tell you, therefore, that I am come this day as the Mother who is not the gentle soft mother that many of you see me as being. I come with the sternness and the fierceness of the she-lion who is defending her cubs against the hyenas who have come to devour them. I come now to defend my Son Jesus Christ and his supreme sacrifice for humankind, and I come to defend his teachings.

Do you understand that, for a very long time in the western world, their primary means for controlling what people knew and believed was the Christian religion, specifically the CatholicChurch. It was, as we have said before, one of the most effective and successful mind control machines created on this planet. For over a thousand years, it dominated the thinking of people in the western world. It still has a tremendous influence, not only the CatholicChurch but the offspring of the CatholicChurch in the form of all other Christian churches who, for the vast majority of them, are building on the foundations set by the Church fathers 1600-1700 hundred years ago.

For a very long time, western thinking was dominated by the Christian claim that there is only one true religion, there is only one true road to salvation, there is only one true doctrine: We have the absolute and highest truth because we have the highest authority of God and Christ. For a very long time, the false hierarchy on this planet were able to use the CatholicChurch and the Christian religion in order to control people.

As Saint Germain has explained, when there is an established power elite of fallen beings that have attained control of the population, there will inevitably be an aspiring power elite of other fallen beings. They may claim that they want to free the people, but they really want to take the position of the established elite so that they themselves become the established elite. This aspiring power elite started using science as their means to counteract and take down the control of religion. They, therefore, turned science into an entirely materialistic endeavor that also claimed to have an absolute truth, namely that there was no God and that all spirituality was just subjective illusions.

The net result of the battle between these two approaches to life is what I have just called the modern state of agnosticism. So many people have gone into a mindset where they see the fallacy of the orthodox Christian claim. They also have a sense there is something missing from the orthodox materialistic claim, yet because they do not know what is missing, they go into a state of mind of not knowing what to believe. They accept the subtle ploy, also promoted by the false hierarchy, that there is no absolute truth, there is no higher truth, there is nothing to really know and believe. Therefore, they don’t accept any authority beyond the human level.

What is the underlying plot? You may look at mainstream Christianity, you may look at scientific materialism, you may look at agnosticism and say they are quite different from a certain perspective. But, if you step back and look at them all, they are all based on the same mindset, which is precisely the mindset of the fallen beings, namely that the duality consciousness can define truth, can define what is real and unreal. This is the underlying belief of the fallen beings, my beloved. This is what they want you to believe.

Mainstream Christianity was a man-made religion that took a set of man-made doctrines. Yes, they were built on the teachings of Jesus, but they were distortions of the teachings of Jesus as anybody can see by reading the scriptures and reading the Nicene Creed. They took these man-made doctrines and elevated them to an absolute truth. Scientific materialism is based on taking selective findings of science and elevating them to an absolute truth. Agnosticism is based on the mindset that says there is no absolute truth, there is nothing beyond the material world.

Do you see that orthodox Christianity said the separate mind, the dualistic mind, can define the doctrines of Christ? Materialistic science says scientific measurements and conclusions can define what is real and what is unreal, what exists and what does not exist. The agnostic mindset says the dualistic mind can define that there is no absolute truth, no higher truth, and therefore, no idea or statement is more valid than any other. But, it is all the same mindset where you – in separation, in duality – you are defining what is true. This is the plot. It has, of course, been used in every area of society.

Let us begin by considering the difference between spirituality and religion. We of the ascended masters are, of course, not supporters of religion as it is generally known in the world on earth. Why are we not supporters of religion? Because religion separates people from their God, from the Buddha, from the inner experience of reality. Religion, as it has been known on earth in the large religions that have dominated countries, cultures, and civilizations, is not of God, is not coming from God, is not coming from the spiritual realm.

I know many will be startled and will object to this statement because they will say that, surely, their religion came from a direct revelation from a divine source. There are, indeed, several mainstream religions that make the claim that they are based on what is, in fact, genuine, divine revelation. Yet, these mainstream religions are not based on the divine revelation; they are based on a human interpretation of the divine revelation. And, herein, lies the difference.

Spirituality, or shall we call it mysticism, is different from religion, in that mysticism and spirituality does not seek to separate you from your God, from a direct, inner experience of a higher state of consciousness, even a direct inner experience of your own, inner being—pure awareness. This is the all-important difference, and it is one of the initiations that humankind will be faced with in this coming year, and even in many coming years. A new cycle has dawned upon earth, and it is time that human beings in greater numbers, certainly all among the top 10% and many among the 80% of the general population, awaken to the difference between religion and spirituality or mysticism.

The essence of a mystical approach

What is, then, the essence of the mystical approach to spirituality as opposed to the religious approach? Religion is based on the very subtle concept that there is a distance, a gap, a separation, between spirit and matter, between human beings and their God or the spiritual beings in a higher realm.

You might say, if you are philosophically inclined, that the situation of me giving this dictation through a messenger that you hear as an external voice actually reinforces this subtle belief. I would not actually disagree with this statement—if you do not understand the difference between spirituality and religion.

As I inspired this messenger to say earlier today, spirituality that is not internalized becomes religion.

The new cycle that has dawned is a cycle where more and more people need to awaken to the difference between a form of spirituality that is based on the illusion of a gap and that actually upholds this illusion and then, the true spirituality that seeks to help the individual overcome the gap and have a direct experience of the reality of a higher state of consciousness, of the reality of a higher realm, and of higher spiritual beings—having that experience of reality directly within themselves.

The spiritual approach taught by the Buddha

Religion sets up doctrines and dogmas, and it says: “Believe in this, and you will go to Heaven. Deny this, and you will go to Hell.” This, then, puts people in the situation where they have to accept or reject something that is external to them, to their own minds. What did I attempt to teach 2,500 years ago? That you need to look within to master your own mind and that you need to realize that the key to spirituality is to raise your consciousness. This is not a matter of following outer doctrines.

You do not know about this today because it has largely been lost to history, but the Brahmins of the Hindu religion opposed me and my teaching. They were not quite as radical as those who opposed Jesus and nailed him to a cross, but they came pretty close.

They did everything that they could to discredit me publicly, while I was still in embodiment on earth. Had there been better technology for communication and I had been able to spread my teachings even further, they would have done much more to discredit me, as they always do to the true representatives of the Light. Truly, there are those that seek to discredit any teaching that will awaken people to the reality of spirituality, as opposed to the illusion of religion.
