NOTE:
This
answer was given on July 14, 2007, during the Shangra-la conference
in Los Angeles, California.
Kim:
Babaji is not going to answer it but Jesus will answer it. I don't know
exactly why, other than perhaps I am not trained or anointed to work
with Babaji at this point.
Answer from Jesus:
This is a question for which I cannot give a general answer. For the
simple reason that the topic is too complex for a general black-and-white
answer.
There are people who have such intricate karmic circumstances with certain
other people that it would be an invaluable opportunity for them to
pay back karma by giving blood or organs to those people.
There are other people who have risen to a certain level of consciousness,
where it could be detrimental to other people if they received their
blood because the difference in consciousness is so great that the consciousness
that is carried in the blood would have too violent of an effect on
the person who received it.
Thus, you see again that the outer mind, the ego, always wants a clear-cut
black-and-white answer—do this, don't do that and you will be
saved. You need to rise to the Christ discernment, where there are no
hard-and-fast general rules, where everything is an individual matter.
And thus you need to tune in on an individual basis.
This also applies to many other questions related to health, such as
whether you should have a living will, and what that living will should
say. Whether you should allow your body to be kept alive artificially
for an indeterminate period of time or whether the life support should
be cut off, if that indeed became necessary.
Mother Mary:
There are those, my beloved, for whom it is valuable to stay in embodiment
as long as possible because it allows them to maintain a focus here,
in the physical octave. Thus, even though they are literally functioning
on the outer as a vegetable, they still – through that physical
focus – can use their minds to bring forth energies into the material
realm. Yet there are other people for whom it would be best to leave
the body behind as soon as possible, and certainly as soon as it stops
functioning in any normal capacity.
And thus, again, you see that the technology of the medical profession
has given rise to certain ethical and moral questions. And again, these
questions do not have a black-and-white answer. It must be discerned
on an individual basis, so that each of you individually decide whether
you should write a living will, and whether you should stipulate under
what conditions you might want life support to be cut off—if that
became an actuality. For it is indeed possible that current medical
technology can keep the body alive beyond the point where the person
should have died, where the body should have died according to the person's
Divine Plan.
And so, again, the real answer is always to strive for Christ discernment
and to be willing to rethink the hard and fast rules—even the
rules that were given in past teachings. For you see, my beloved, any
rule is given for a certain state of consciousness. And when you transcend
that state of consciousness, the rule is no longer necessary nor appropriate
for you.
Ultimately, there are no rules in Christhood. There is only the inner
attunement that allows you to know what is right in the actual situation.
You will note, for example, that when Jesus walked the Earth, he performed
certain healing miracles. Yet he also met people he did not heal because
he had the inner attunement to know that there were certain people that
were not meant to be healed, as I explained in the answer about disease
given in Ireland.
