Is
this website for you?
Welcome.
My
name is Kim Michaels, and it has been my privilege to serve as the person
maintaining this website. Let me offer you a few short remarks that
might help you determine whether this website is for you.
Love
it or hate it
This website tends to give rise to two distinct responses:
-
Some
people love it and find there is an amazing amount
of useful and inspiring information on the site. They often feel
that the teachings on the site are confirmed in their hearts. Want
to see some positive responses?
-
Some
people hate it
and get very upset. They feel this website is blasphemy and heresy
because so many of the teachings on the site contradict or go beyond
what they were taught in Sunday school. Want to see some challenging
responses?
What will determine your reaction to this website?
Quite simple! It is a matter of how you answer the following question:
If
your current religious beliefs were incorrect or incomplete, would
you want to know?
Your personal answer to that
question depends on your basic approach to life, religion and God. There
are two main options:
-
If your approach is based
on love, your answer
will be: “Of course I want to
know. I don’t want to spend the rest of my
life being stuck in wrong or incomplete beliefs. If there is more
to know about the spiritual side of life than what I know right
now, then I want to find out so I can expand my understanding!”
If this is your reaction, you are likely to enjoy this site, as
have thousands of outer visitors.
- If your approach is
based on fear, your answer will be that your current
beliefs are complete and infallible, so you will deny the validity
of any idea that goes beyond or contradicts your current beliefs.
In other words, you want to defend your current beliefs against all
costs. If that is your approach, you are likely to hate this website,
so why not save yourself the aggravation? Let us simply part ways
in peace.
Obviously, I am not saying
that everyone fits into these two categories. Many people fit somewhere
in between. They find some teachings on this website that they can accept
immediately, and they find other ideas that are so far beyond their
current beliefs that they are hard to accept. For specific advice on
how to handle that situation, see this
page.
How could Jesus create a website?
A common initial reaction to this website is the question of how Jesus
could create a website and where the teachings on this website come
from. The short answer is that the teachings on this site are brought
forth the same way most other spiritual teachings were given to people,
namely through a human being like yourself. Jesus didn't create this
website. He gives spiritual teachings to the person creating the website.
If you are already familiar with the idea that a human being can communicate
with spiritual beings, you might be ready to explore the website. For
a more detailed description on how this website started, see this
page. For answers to other common concerns, see this
page. For an explanation of where the teachings on the website come
from, see this page.
If
the idea that a human being can communicate with the spiritual realm
is new to you or seems somewhat strange, consider the following:
It is a fact that throughout
known history, millions of people have had communication with beings
in another realm. Almost every religion on this planet originated with
some form of communication between a human being and spiritual beings.
Today, millions of people have had near-death experiences and have reported
that they met and talked to spiritual beings. Many people have had visions
or intuitive, mystical and spiritual experiences that confirmed the
reality of the spiritual world. Consider the following:
-
There are many levels
of vibration. For example, your eyes can see only visible light,
but there are many types of light waves (infrared, ultraviolet,
gamma, X-rays etc.) that your eyes cannot see.
-
Einstein’s theory
opens the possibility that there could be a realm of energy frequencies
that we cannot detect with our senses or with scientific instruments.
This realm could be what spiritual
people, for thousands of years, have called Heaven.
-
Throughout known history,
millions of people have had spiritual or mystical experiences and
visions in which they made contact
with the spiritual realm.
-
In light of the fact
that everything is energy and that energy is vibration, we can explain
how this can happen. It seems that the human mind has an ability
to tune in to energy frequencies that are beyond the vibrations
that can be detected by the senses. In other words, the
mind can act as a radio and tune in to the station called “Heaven.”
-
Virtually every religion
talks about one or several intelligent beings living in a higher
realm. We might imagine that there are a number of such beings that
serve as our spiritual teachers.
-
The job of our spiritual
teachers is to help us raise our consciousness and expand our understanding
of ourselves, God and our relationship with God. They do this by
giving us spiritual teachings.
-
If you believe Jesus
ascended to heaven, it should be obvious that he did not suddenly
die or disappear. In fact, Jesus himself stated: "I
am with you alway, even unto the end of the world"
(Matthew 28:20).
-
Does it seem all that
far-fetched that Jesus is still with us and seeks to help us in
various ways? Does it seem all that unlikely that Jesus wants to
give us spiritual teachings suited for today’s more rational
world?
-
If you think Jesus is
gone or that he could not communicate with human beings, you might
want to consider that you are putting
a limitation on Jesus. Is it wise to limit a being
with Jesus’ obvious spiritual attainment?
-
In light of these ideas,
does it seem impossible that Jesus could speak through a human being
who has learned to tune his consciousness to the spiritual realm,
so that Jesus can speak through him?
-
Throughout history numerous
people have had the ability to communicate with the spiritual realm
in various ways. Many are unknown, but a significant number have
brought forth new spiritual teachings.
- We might consider that
as humankind raises its consciousness, our spiritual teachers can
give us more advanced teachings. Therefore, there is an ongoing process
of progressive revelation
aimed at increasing our understanding of the spiritual side of life.
This
website is one example of such progressive revelation.
It does not claim to be the only one, it does not claim to be infallible
and it does not claim to have a patent on Jesus. Nevertheless, if you
are open to the possibility of communication with the spiritual realm,
you might find the teachings on this website to be a great inspiration.
So please do yourself the
favor of taking an open-minded look at this website. Please do not fall
into the fear-based trap of rejecting the website before you have taken
a sincere look. While studying the site, listen
to your intuition, and allow it to tell you whether
this website is for you.
Please let your heart, and not your intellect
or your fears, be the deciding factor.
